I love how japan like to make jokes with names, a common word for small/little in Japanese is "Chiisai" so "chii-chan" is an extra joke that just who knows how to speak Japanese can get(and anime fans as well)

He was the rabbit, the depth of this storytelling is remarkable.
The thing japanese commercial writers do really well is understanding the language of the traditional commercial and being able to deconstruct or subvert the narrative. When we see Chi-Chan and Toru in the first commercial, we expect the moralistic utopia of the world inside commercials, eternally happy, but then the element of the Long Long Man crushes it down involving taboo like sex, that are never involved in commercial narrative. This is, in some kind of way, seeing the apparent perfection of the commercial world clashing with the real needs and temptations of an actual human being, that is a metaphor to the morals clashing with temptation in the real world. That's why it is so cinematographic, and reminds more of a film or a TV series than a commercial, the product is really meaningless, however you want to buy because "That's the one of the commercial", serves two purposes most probably having a lot of fun in the process of making too. This is a masterclass on storytelling imo.

@@droplet4792 The first time I saw these commercials and then the ending, I assume it's possible that actually didn't happen. Its possible that event didn't happen and it was the short mans imagination, assuming that had happened. I mean the gummy didn't look torn from what I can see and in the commercial before that, when she opens his mouth asking for the gummy, they never actually showed him giving it to her (unless I am blind, which is possible)
