(l)は位置限定です。5D.66.623Cがかなり安定しづらいです、出来ればかなりダメージ伸びますがこのキャラをメインで使うにしても妥協してもいいと思います。

Picked him up about a 3 weeks ago and came close to just dropping him twice. I have it a rest, left game alone for a good week or two and came back with so many new combo ideas. My motivation was stronger than my desire to perfect this character. I'm happy to say that I'm finally at the point where I watch matches on TH-cam for tips instead of finishing challenge mode (I'll get around to that). I really like Naoto.
Naoto tip: Instead of just dashing after 5D when trying to go into 6623C, cancel 5D into 214A and dash cancel that. (Dash canceling sway is important for more complex combos.)
I find that it's easier to dash cancel with Sway because it can be buffered very early
Is the 214A on the 5D cancel immediate?
I was motivated to use Naoto until I found out about the micro-dashes he has to do, and with how annoying they are I just gave up on playing him seriously. I'll stick with Susano'o and play Naoto for fun without worrying about optimal combos with him.

I play him now for one month and now my fingers are give me a cracking sound everytime I use him...
thank god I'm getting him for cross tag on the switch. The D pad's just a bunch of buttons. It's just button mashing so I think I'll be okay... (Yes Naoto's on Cross tag and he's still got dash cancel. Along with some sailor moon girl)
To those complaining about Naoto Kurogane's play style:
We can agree that Izanami is more "Basic" than Naoto is,but we can also be grateful that he is not Carl Clover.

Makes sense since one of his moves he actually says "Bloodedge", but like, some of Ragna's moves have inspiration from SOL Badguy and that's what I'm seeing. One of Naoto's moves is literally Volcanic Viper and the axe kick.

It's almost exactly like Sol's Volcanic Viper animation. Especially his body.

I mean, Hyde wins in power, but Naoto FAR outclasses him in skill, the more you think about it the more you realise that they are a very even match, I think in the end Hyde would take it tho.

Seth vs Hibiki then.. though I think Seth takes it simply based off of what he says when he runs 🍪📢 & by the time dude has closed the distance PLUS does have a ranged base atk. Hibiki can fire shadow sprites but in multiple directions individually = big problem. I'll be damned if I had em in the izuna and the lil blk ball$ decides to come @ me bro. P.s. Where the hell have the Naoto @ Kagura matches gone? Were worth a search engine

Doze Wilheim not at all. He's extremely mobile. A big part of using this character is learning to predict what the opponent will do. Learn to SPAM that drive. You're opponent will eventually be knocked off game by multiple guard break/dash mix-ups. I possibly enjoy this guy as much as I enjoy Valk and Valk doesn't put out about of damage for the work you have to do either.
However, this guy will kill your thumb. 👍🏿

You people are peasants! If you were like me and spent countless millennia in the hyperbolic time chamber and mastering ultra instinct, and perfecting every martial art in every universe, then you would realize that Naoto is the easiest character ever.
Imagine never play ver 1 and hearing they made him easier in ver 2 then watching noato from ver 1 and realize noato players were buffed having less pain within their fingers whenever they play bb cf
Back with an update. I have 80 percent mastered the 66->infernocrusader (pretty much any combination here). Now I've run into another wall...
The 5D[cancel into dash]66-->66236B is very strict. I'm seeing the the best route to getting this timing perfected is mastering the 214D attack. Good luck to you all and may the thumb gods be with you.

so if I understand this correctly, for example 5C>5D.66.623C, you input it as 5C and buffer a 5D, and when 5C hit, you hit 66 to dash-cancel?
I suck doing those micro-dashes :(

Okay did his damage get nerfed since this video came out or am I doing something wrong? The combo at 0:24 only does 2990 damage for me and I'm doing every input correctly (or so I think). Unless there's some delay I have to do that nets more damage I have no idea what I'm doing wrong or his damage has been nerfed.

well i do it with the 214A its easier for me and it works
214A is better as it can be buffered

are you absolutely sure its the same combo? divine slasher deals more damage if you do it from a dash maybe thats why
very late but its a new version of the game lol. i tried doing some combo on a few different characters and it drops and im not sure if they changed the hitboxes or if its always been like that. This video was made for bbcf before verison 2.0 came out

The 5D66 moves are stupid.
It's the only thing barring me from playing this character.
Don't do D66 moves. Instead, do Sway cancels, the window is a lot better in comparision. They are still hard tho.
