one of the things I don't think he understands is that the AI of the Alien actually learns from the Player, so if it catches you in the Locker it'll be more likely to check the Locker next time, so switching up your hiding strategy does wonders (I love the way they managed the AI of the Alien in this game, two separate AI make up the Game, one overlooking the game and the Alien, it doesn't ever actually know where the player is, instead the overlooking AI tells it the general area of the player and the Alien actually has to hunt for you, when it's been hanging around for too long the overseer tells the Alien to check somewhere else that way it can give the player a break, but not too much of a break of course, it's a really ingenious design imho
It is rather ingenious. It gives the Alien a real sense of predatory hunting instinct. As if it has a hunting pattern that it learns to adapt as it goes on.
Actually, that's wrong. To play a horror game is one thing. To play it alone, in darkness, with surround sound, when you KNOW that you're easily scared, is just crazy. Hilarious to watch, but still crazy.
Most people would probably say that you are a scaredy cat, but in my opinion the fact that you were THIS scared but kept going shows some REAL courage.
Your right on the money with that. He was in the same state that I would probably be in except I would have stopped. "Courage is not the absence of fear, it is acting in spite of it." - Mark Twain
Imagine being the Alien in this game. You jump out of a vent, Ripley in sight, and Ripley's response to your surprise attack is just suddenly having a seizure.
I know this is old as dirt, but what fucks with me the most is him freaking out. The game itself isn’t that bad but his reactions get my heart racing and I love it XD
the thing is if that were me, infact this happened in episode 1, my instinct is telling me to give up because you are going to get caught anyway so whats the point of pushing forward
TheCptCoy same, at my school we had a lot of nerdy asians (i was one too) and we were far too worried about our own gpa and shit to be interested in physical bullying

+SovietWomble Hey Wumble! What headphones are you using? Sorry could not find it in your twitch profile and was wondering if you are using Astro A40's or perhaps Turtlebeaches? Cheers!
1:08 just so you know the xenomorph can hear the motion sensor, the beeping. 5:27. Actually depending on the difficulty you are playing the xenomorph will learn that you hide in lockers and the A.I. will start to bait you, by leaving then a small amount of time later returning to try and catch you, and if it goes on long enough the more times throughout the game you use the lockers around the xenomorph it will even start checking the lockers.
I guess it would make sense for them to say the game is too hard.. you actually have to use some common sense to beat this game on its highest difficulties. A bit too much to as for game "journalists".
I always thought that running into the xenomorph in the vents was way more distressing than in the open. You just can't do a thing in there. The second worst case to run into the xenomorph would be the case where you knock something over and you just hear those running steps close in on you way too fast.
Tylran for me the most stressing scenario would be the one where wombles camera made noises when he was turning and the alien could right behind you. But you cant turn around and look because then he would definitely know where you. Thats some fucking stressfull event
Tylran ...fuck the Hive. Seriously, fuck it. I mean, of course I love that part, but damn it was Terrific. It's just so dark in there and Aliens just blend in with the environment - even when I heard one screaming and running towards me I couldn't see it until it was too close. Thankfully, I panicked at those moments and just fired with my flamethrower in all directions, so I managed to scare them off. But then "Escape the Habitation Deck" happened... Overall the whole game, ALL bits with Alien were terrifying.
I honestly feel for the guy. I played this and I shit myself. Soviet deserves more subs, because the entertaining part is the fact that he isn’t pretending. This is pure terror. That’s what a real TH-camr does. He doesn’t pretend. #GiveSovietMoreSubs ❤️
There are so many youtubers who overreact abnormally. And I'm not talking only about gamers, but as a whole - take troydanreacts, for example. And I always thought this fakeness was the only thing about any type of vlogging. And then - womble. Genius.
He's legit scared. He has a surround sound headset and he turned off all the lights in his flat... at night. Given I know some grown men who can't even watch horror movies, Womble must actually be pretty damn scared in this one
I can feel his pain. Hell I can't even play Slenderman without pausing the game at least 3 times so if I were to play that game I'm gonna end up hospitalized because my heart stopped.
Most big TH-camrs overreact, probably to makeup for their commentary/content being mediocre at best. Soviet not only makes great videos, but his reactions are genuine and make his videos immersive. This makes him way better than a lot of TH-camrs that have way more subs than he does imo.
SovietWomble. I respect you so much and I am so proud of that. To do something that makes you uncomfortable and that scares you so much that you might have a panic attack and be able to persevere and keep doing it is amazing. If there was ever a need of a revolution and there needed to be a leader I would follow you no question.
I don't impress easily. Like a public shooting someone would have to beg me to care because I refuse to get caught up in the hype. Also SovietWomble Deserves more subscribers. The last time I was Impressed by a youtuber his name was Morfar or DJ Morfar but he died and when he died so did my feelings. I hate when people I admire die.
Womble refers to the Xenomorph as a "He" when the funny bit is that theyre all female. Canonically the Xenos are all female due to an evolutionary trait they all have where if a hive is mostly destroyed and a single drone (what is hunting Womble) is still alive, then she morphs into the new queen. Making a hive of her own to renew the cycle of madness.
Yeah, in late game you almost cant use lockers beacouse of this, he checks them all the time. Also, the AI is cheating a bit by always telling the Alien where you generally are. He still has to find you, but he can stay near you for over 10 + minutes without going away, giving you very few chances to crawl to a new location. This becomes so prominent at a certain point, that if you get stuck in some corridor, you are done without flares/noisemakers, you can not leave your hiding spot without getting spotted and he only leaves to teleport to a vent on the other side of the room. So without the flamethrower and a bit of luck, you either rush the level and spam distractions, or you take the terrible route of hiding under every table and box, glued to your motion tracker, only to be killed randomly after 30+ minutes without a safe 🙃 This game is pain. Also fuck the lockers, hide under the tables, he can not find you there.
In the second playthrough, it's way more easier, but you soon realise the Alien does get pissed off more and gets way more aggressive. Its basically the game telling you "fuck you, it will find you". And I love that. It makes every playthrough unique.
Am I the only one that's simultaneously laughing at this but wants to just give Womble a hug so he's not freaking out so much? I wanna make him a bit calmer so he can play without the fear of being munched up as an appetizer by an alien.
When I first watched this, I genuinely thought that Womble was overreacting. Now, after playing about 5 minutes of the game, I can safely say that I'm with him.
You're so lucky the PC version doesn't transmite through the mic like the other versions do, because on those versions HE CAN HEAR YOU SCREAMING AND YELLING ahahahahah.
I believe I have never watched anybody so terrified, playing a horror game. I almost feel for poor Womble. He must be entertained by being scared I assume?
I appreciate him going through this horror five years ago. Can still enjoy this series after having watched it several times. Soviet is one of the best TH-camrs I know and though he is lacking videos, the quality is that great, that they can be rewatched several times. I probably speak for everyone, but I just wanted to get this appreciation speech out
Alcatrax It's worth it! The detail they've put into the game world is wonderful. Though, please be wary of any pre-order non-sense from Sega when there's a sequal. #fuckpreorders
2018 and Womble is lucky for one thing about this game . You guys never made him play with mic sensor on so that when he speaks, screams ,breathe hard the alien will hear that .....i played it like that and trust me ......i lost 10 years of my life spam .
I wanted to play the game, or try to again. But this makes me rethink that idea....but I'll do it anyways without the mic sensor. I would like to keep those ten years.

Yup. You couldn't be more correct
5:07 imagine Womble sitting in the locker instead of Ripley, and his laughter would give him away instantly
The vr version of the game can actually do that …
"While he's eating him, I'll be safe!" - Imagine a real horror situation with Womble
pyscho, hahahahaha
What freaks me out is Womble freaking out
Yess! I love horror games and I have never been so freaked out until I saw him playing, I am scared af now, thanks Womble
Most people would probably say that you are a scaredy cat, but in my opinion the fact that you were THIS scared but kept going shows some REAL courage.
Your right on the money with that. He was in the same state that I would probably be in except I would have stopped.
"Courage is not the absence of fear, it is acting in spite of it."
- Mark Twain
This is my exact thinking when i watch this videos, he has balls
Exactly. I'm terrible with horror games and would not have been able to finish this, so fair play Womble.
The game is pretty scary
Epiclyfunnyfail i mean he is playing it at night lights off curtains pulled and. ........with a headset¯\_(ツ)_/¯
the thing is if that were me, infact this happened in episode 1, my instinct is telling me to give up because you are going to get caught anyway so whats the point of pushing forward
Aleph One
are you focking shitting me this game still scares the piss out of me
"I have spent half the game in the damn lockers"- SovietWomble
"I have spent half the school in the damn lockers"- Me
Lmao beta
I never witnessed a single kid get trash canned or shoved in a locker growing up, I think this is just something from the movies.
TheCptCoy same, at my school we had a lot of nerdy asians (i was one too) and we were far too worried about our own gpa and shit to be interested in physical bullying
Poor Womble, he just cant get out if the closet
Pro tip: get fat. then you cant fit.
Locker... womble's sanity maintainer
And yeah... quality headset in this game = panic attack
7:36 for example
Rbn Srkk histerical/maniacal laughter is a way to lower the tension when you have too much adrenaline in your blood. Or at least this is what i think. I'm not a medic.
If i'm right, this means that womble is constantly in a state of pure terror
MATTIA Viviani womble sounds like he took 10 shots of fucking adrenaline and drank too much red bull
Alien's favourite lines:
Every breath you take,
Every step you take,
Every move you make,
I'll be watching you...
The Alien must love The Police
I am pretty sure Womble could voice a protagonist in a horror game.
The genuine fear you can hear in Womble's voice is brilliant!
i feel so bad for him, props for him trying to overcome a fear... i could never do this
Ocker De Bokx this was a constructive comment. I'm glad to see comments like this. Have a wonderful day.
I would play the game... and then hide in a locker forever
Jesus, womble needs to be some sort of horror voice actor. You can really feel the fear through his stutters and panting.
Thing is, he wasn't acting
His reactions are downright genuine, he's absolutely terrified. If he ever dares to try out another horror game, I hope he takes some dramamine for his nerves, or at least empty half a bottle of rum before playing another.
If somebody even touched Womble once during this video he would he would shit himself
sans I wish I could start making licking noises towards him back in time
Same
I would kick his door in. Dude probably would jump out the window whit the pc dragged by the headphones xD
That good feeling when you discovered a new channel and is pure gold :')
bit late but jezus crsith you right fucking dying right here
REN i need my chips and we are ready to bingewatch.
But he doesnt have that many vids though, kinda makes me sad :(
Facebook page now made. I'll post the new video links up there too facebook.com/SovietWomble
If you have a moment to Like, Share, etc it would be greatly appreciated.
SovietWomble What headset/headphones do you use?
+SovietWomble The scream and slow-mo shot combined, Pricless.
+SovietWomble i swear...with your surround headphones and if you got oculus rift....you'll die xD
+Fawks Pipsi the whimpers are the best
+SovietWomble Hey Wumble! What headphones are you using? Sorry could not find it in your twitch profile and was wondering if you are using Astro A40's or perhaps Turtlebeaches? Cheers!
4:55 The way the Xenomorph darts across and then slowly reenters the frame is a cinematic masterpiece. [Chef kiss].
I swear, Womble's actually more scared than the girl that he's playing.
Arcade LOL
They should put this game in VR. I would pay good money to see someone play it that way.
It came out with the VR feature, there is plenty of TH-camrs playing it with a headset.
Man do i got something to tell you
The Republic Of Bananas Man, do I... oh son of a bitch, I was going to say that!
Scr00bMcDuck lol
Alien Isolation VR: Prepare to shit yourself edition.
You know how contagious a laugh is? well.... its the same thing with Soviet's fear, jesus, I've never been so scared of this game xD
Its the exact same way with me. ;3;
fuzzbuster007 fr
1:08 just so you know the xenomorph can hear the motion sensor, the beeping.
5:27. Actually depending on the difficulty you are playing the xenomorph will learn that you hide in lockers and the A.I. will start to bait you, by leaving then a small amount of time later returning to try and catch you, and if it goes on long enough the more times throughout the game you use the lockers around the xenomorph it will even start checking the lockers.
And yet if i remember some game journalist gave this game like, a 5.9 because its shitty ai... Its not shitty
@@Payday5 game journalists got stuck on on the tutorial of Cuphead; they're a lost cause.
I guess it would make sense for them to say the game is too hard.. you actually have to use some common sense to beat this game on its highest difficulties. A bit too much to as for game "journalists".
Not from that far away.
Truly brilliant Ai.
dude, your shrieking and laughing lol wtf. episode per epsiode, I can feel your descent to madness haha
Jonuel Duran Heh heh hah hah HAHAHA *went the Womble*
if i ever had to hire someone to do an insane laugh, womble would absolutely be on the list xP
Welcome to another twelve minute and forty-one second addition to the series: Soviet Womble Needs A Hug Simulator
Thank you kind lady
the locker is soviets happy place, he goes there when he needs encouragement and to feel safe (its like a state of mind)
that's cause it's not a locker, but a closet! ;)
that's cause it's not a locker, but a closet! ;)
How to survive
Step one:go in the locker
Step three:go in the locker
Step four u now what
Ehab Bitar what's step two?
Idiocy Incorporated go on the locker
BOTFrosty i thought it was freak out and tell everyone your not freaking out.
Idiocy Incorporated Well, yea that and there is a hidden step: go in the locker
BOTFrosty oh how did i miss that! :)
Still rewatching
Dudes got over 3 million, how many fucking more does he need?
@@loveless3138 all of them
Maybe when he plays the DLC, its far harder
7 years later and this is my still most favourite series of all time. I am watching it for a third time and it never gets old
im not sure if its womble that is breathing heavily or ripley
Druundev its me ...
well, this just turned creepy.
+Not Quite Dovahkiin Its a snorlax, what would you of expected?
That's Womble
Very late, but Ripley only breaths heavely in the lockers and while running
So... it's womble
DeLaw I couldn't even play through the first part in S.O.M.A, after you get in the chair.
@@tasuu_ I will probably never play S.O.M.A because that game takes place underwater and I hate sea monsters.
Womble needs only 1 friend.......a locker
So basically Womble's "I've screwed someone over" and "I'm losing my sanity" laughs are the same.
Goes inside the vent-- Looks left, dead end... Looks right, a ladder... Has a heart attack
+SappingSpy It's just a game. I think that a panic attack is a bit too overexaggerated.
I think the word "overexaggerated" is a bit too overexaggerated.
Well I just hope he doesn't die before I meet him. That already happened to Kitty0607 and that fucking sucked.
SappingSpy
Alright, if something happens to Womble, I'm blaming *you*.
It would be great to see if Cyanide freaks out more than Womble does while playing this lol

@@tychogoedhart286 he switches to Spanish in times of distress actually
B B 91 SANTA MARIA!
Thej Yhome ah yes the good old language known as United States
Womble refers to the Xenomorph as a "He" when the funny bit is that theyre all female. Canonically the Xenos are all female due to an evolutionary trait they all have where if a hive is mostly destroyed and a single drone (what is hunting Womble) is still alive, then she morphs into the new queen. Making a hive of her own to renew the cycle of madness.
Actually, Hermaphrodites. ;)
I wasn't aware of that. That's pretty cool.
How do they lay more eggs then without a male partner?
Womble : beggars can't be choosers
Hunter Hanley because of kukakkau?
Imagine the alien adapted to you being in lockers so much that it checked lockers more often.
Oh that's cool.
@Kevin Guo oh my god
Salty Sea IT FUCKING DOES AAAAA
In the second playthrough, it's way more easier, but you soon realise the Alien does get pissed off more and gets way more aggressive. Its basically the game telling you "fuck you, it will find you". And I love that. It makes every playthrough unique.
Am I the only one that's simultaneously laughing at this but wants to just give Womble a hug so he's not freaking out so much? I wanna make him a bit calmer so he can play without the fear of being munched up as an appetizer by an alien.
3:28 when you officially have just lost your shit and slowly are becoming the joker
Is it twisted or something along those lines to say it was a beautifully hilarious thing to watch unfold?. yeah...most likely.
7:43 that moment when soviet’s brain has officially broken down
how fucked up would it be if someone scared him while playing this game?
Kurt Sams in an Alien suit
lol
Kurt Sams he would literally die right then from shock.
Itd be cyanide
Summer Dixon 😂
Omg, the pure terror he shows! I just want to give Womble a hug!
When I first watched this, I genuinely thought that Womble was overreacting. Now, after playing about 5 minutes of the game, I can safely say that I'm with him.
Forget heart attack, we should be worried about Womble having a brain hemmorage with how scared he is.
Jeez, that is true terror. he's not faking hardly at all.
Isn't he so adorable when he freaks out
착한아이 dude what
Years later and I’m still amazed at the sound of genuine fear at 9:50. Like the sound he makes is just pure terror. I fucking love it
womble: *mocks alarm*
womble literally 3 seconds after mocking the alarm: panik
soviet you NEED to play more games like this. It's so much fun to watch you freak out with me
You want him to die or wtf.
DJT dont make soviet die, didn't u hear he's scared as fucked
Bruh, it sounds like he gonna hyperventilate and you want him to play more!?

It is 2019 boiiiis and still get shookt from womble's reactions
rewatching this and the camera jerk at 9:55 was literally more terrifying than the Xeno appearing.
You're so lucky the PC version doesn't transmite through the mic like the other versions do, because on those versions HE CAN HEAR YOU SCREAMING AND YELLING ahahahahah.
Well, it have, but it's disable by default
@Oreo Cookie I believe so.
Its almost like Escape the Ayuwoki
That shit indie game didnt come out before Alien Isolation
I was like SERIOUSLY DON'T USE THE SENSOR WHEN YOU KNOW HE IS IN YOUR FACE
And then I realised this was 1 year ago.

+dionje5TV The part about Womble? Or the part about the sensor?
The Part about womble ;)

I was like "ikr" I NEED TO REPLY
And then I realised this was 1 year ago.
I believe I have never watched anybody so terrified, playing a horror game. I almost feel for poor Womble. He must be entertained by being scared I assume?
Because he's getting so genuinely scared he's relaying it to me watching this in de dark on my bed
If that's surprising go watch Jevs playthrough of horror games
I appreciate him going through this horror five years ago. Can still enjoy this series after having watched it several times. Soviet is one of the best TH-camrs I know and though he is lacking videos, the quality is that great, that they can be rewatched several times.
I probably speak for everyone, but I just wanted to get this appreciation speech out
I just wanted to comfort him... he sounds so scared... poor guy
No no no no no no "back in the locker"😂

Though, please be wary of any pre-order non-sense from Sega when there's a sequal.

I love you just because you hate preorders. I never preordered and then preordered F4 and was so disappointed... never again
