    In Hawaii . We use bells that attach to the rod . Almost looks like cow bells . It’s used to know if we got any bites . But in most of the videos I’ve seen of people in main America shore fishing they don’t use it . Could I ask why? I’ve seen some videos where it was used by lakes or rivers but it’s very small bells like the jingle bell type .

      Honestly not sure why we don't use them more. I see them more at night time in the area. Tight lines 🤘

    Man, about two weeks ago it was rougher than what you were fishing in and we didn't catch a thing over two days. I wasn't sure if we were getting far enough out with our set ups because it seemed as thought the rough surf was killing our bait and rigs.

    • @JustinReedFishing
      @JustinReedFishing  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      When its really rough and my baits out far are moving around too much I will fish closer in. I've caught reds and lots of Whiting in deeper holes close to shore on rough days. Sometimes you have to drive to a new area but I will look for the areas without whitewash and those will be the deeper areas. Good luck out there!

    How do you like the reel30a surf pro 9 foot rod? I’m thinking about getting it, also comparing it to the ninja tackle dagger

    • @JustinReedFishing
      @JustinReedFishing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Love the Reel30A Surf Pro 9! I do not own a Ninja Dagger so can not make an accurate comparison. The Surf Pro casts further than my other 9 foot rods and is a pleasure to fight a fish with. Its also nice and light so would be great for throwing plugs. I have zero complaints.

      Get a 9 to 12 foot rod that is rated for throwing 3-4oz weights. For reel I prefer a 5000 sized Penn. Here is a list of rods that I have used that I like.
      Rods:
      Beach Runner 9-10 Foot ($50)
      H20 Xpress 12 ($50)
      OverTheBar 10 or 12 ($180-200)
      Ninja Tackle Dagger 9-12 ($180-220)
      Reel30A Surf Pro 9-10 ($220)
      Reels:
      Penn Pursuit 5000 ($60)
      Penn Battle 3 DX 5000 ($150)
