Looks like that was fun day casting 🎣 lures on those aggressive blues & Ladies, I would have continue the food chain ⛓️🐟🦈,, but u know what, fall is almost here 🎣🐟🐟🐟🐟,, appreciate the content,, Stay Safe God Bless,,
Am still getting them , 123 have caught them every weekend in August , have been targeting them on the pier in Navarre, getting away from the Grass on the beach, Live Ghostie 👻🦐 have been the ticket , morning/ Evenings, good quality pomps , nice size whitings are also showing up,,
Coming down to cape coral 2nd week of october. Would love to surf fish with you if your close. Im from mn. Visit twice a year but have never surf fished yet. Plan on doing a lot of it this trip.
Bro..I live in pensacola. I go behind the stadium off that little pier and never catch anything lol itching to get into surf fishing. Any specific recommendations? I'm planning on going down Fort Pickens Beach but never been there lol
I've fished Wahoo a couple times. Live baits preferably bull minnows or pinfish with just a spilt shot 12 inch above the hook is what worked for me. Live shrimp gets destroyed by all the pinfish to quickly to catch anything. As far as surf fishing I'd make/buy some Pompano rigs cause they'll catch about every species on the surf. If you make your own tie up some single drops with no bead or float too (seems to work better for me in the summer). For bait I use shrimp, sandfleas, fishbites, or ghost shrimp. Cast your baits out at various distances until you find where the fish are cruising. Before and after the sandbar work great most days. Also you don't have to cast as far as you can. A lot of days I'm catching my fish 30-50 yards out. Good luck out there!
All the fish I saw were well within casting range. That dark grass line is about 80 yards out. I do think I would have spooked them with how clear it was as well. Thanks for watching and tight lines!
Hi Nate. I'm also an Aussie and miss Steve because he was such a legend. However it is good to see that his kids are making his legacy live on. Kind regards MP

Nice video. I would have fed Fred.
Thanks!
I'm surprised with the clear water that you're not wading in a little bit. Maybe that close spooks the fish

I just keep getting Gar mannn
Hope your luck changes soon.
before you pick the kids up at school.... MY MAN!
Got to go when you can 🤣
I've lost far more ladyfish than I've caught because they jump and spit the hook, and I've caught a LOT of ladyfish.
Definitely! Good luck out there.
