Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
God not only paid, and made a way of escape, He conquered ...

I used to deal with depression and i would HURT myself, cut deep into the flesh that god gave me. And i feel so despritly sorry about it . David Bowden showed me how important god is and how he loves each and everyone of us. I shouldnt destroy the body that god has given me i should thank him for the life he gave me, Im so thankful now (:

For those people who believe in God NO explanation is necessary. For those who do not believe NO explanation is possible. As simple as that. God is just always there. You have a freewill to choose. We will know after all.

"I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem for battle. The city will be captured, the houses looted, and the women raped . . . Then the Lord will go out and fight against those nations as he does when he fights a battle." (Zechariah 14:2-3 GWT)
    Praise the Lord!

I know this is an old comment, but I’m grateful for it. I was able to study into this subject and this is what I compiled.
If I were to say "If you spend more than you earn you're going to go into debt and will suffer financially" I'm not condoning going into debt, I'm warning you.
The various prophetic references are just that: prophecies. God is saying that if the people don't live right, they will be weakened as a nation and calamities will come upon them, including invasion by foreign nations that will do horrible things to them. God isn't saying that it's good or that it's right, simply that that is what will end up happening.

This is incredible! Not only is the wordplay excellent, but the message is spot on Biblical.
    @evelsteev:
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23) We brought death among ourselves. God's justice demands our lives for sin. It is through His mercy that we continue to live. Death takes its natural course through our lives, but ultimately its power is broken, cause our death penalty has been paid for and we're promised Life.

A few months ago, after years of not remembering this song and completely forgetting about it, I remembered it. I could only remember fragments of this song, if that, but the fact that my mom showed us this before she passed away when we use to listen to songs on youtube with her kept it in my mind.I could never Think of many lyrics, but nonetheless this song was still stuck in my head. I’ve been trying for months to find the song by searching random phrases on TH-cam that I thought I remembered in the song, AND I FINALLY FOUND THE SONGGG

Our god is one that doesn't tell us what to do, we choose to follow him. We live exactly how we want, and Christianity isn't a religion that were you are wrong. Christianity is about having a personal relationship with god.
I totally agree with you, I too feel sorry for people who live in a false reality but I can assure you that it's not Christianity.
The difference between Christianity and other so called religions is that our God raised from the dead, and he is not distant, he is near.

What does that poor Jewish man dying on a Roman tree 2,000 years ago have to do with me? Christ came and died to marry his bride. Me.
He was bruised for my iniquities chastised for my peace and with His stripes I am healed.

@1000DaysEvangelism Though I cannot speak for the writer, I think what he meant by "we die to become holy" was a reference to what Jesus did through his death and Resurrection, meaning we died to our old lives of sin and, through Christ, gained a new life of holiness.

And I saw Him Death with his mighty sting
Exhaling in every breath a plight He brings
To the grave he gave victory triumphing over life
With the fear of endlessly bendlessly we hide from our mortality
Mortally wounded from birth we lie to ourselves from infancy
Infinitely investing time in a life that will inevitably be taken
by this incredible creature that now stands before me, Death
He manifests himself on ordinary days his six foot stomach growls with hunger pains
For his meal he cannot wait so we are forced to taste him even before the grave
    We are all dying
    There is no other way
I see him in haitian and japanese earthquakes
Hes hating the escapees of his cruel wakes
    I see him in poverty
Impoverishing the quality of life for regions that are reachable
And in those with the reach who find reason not to reach out to treat what is treatable
I see him in disease taking life out of uninfected yet affected families
I see him in oppression, pressing down on the oppressed and the oppressor
I see him in depression, in prosaic, in pain pills, in razor blades and bedside wills
I see him in abuse: physical, mental, emotional misuse
I see him in spiritual confusion, material obsession, physical possession
I see him in marital transgressions, child with remorse from an ugly divorce
I see him in our slavery to appearances, appearing to care more about our images than those in dying villages
I see him in our ignorance, ignorant truth with some comfortable inference
I see his emergence in our churches as we pull out emergency verses as deterrence to religious differences
going on the defensive, defending our way of worship, making community worthless
Death is killing us before we even enter the surface of the Earth
We are in service of his words it is finished the end of our birth
We cannot hide from his wretched curse for death and his grave we constantly rehearse
    Even God himself was coerced
Divinity immersed itself in humanity, humbly taking on flesh scorning vanity
The world saw his way of life as insanity, insisting he cease speaking of this radical Christianity
but man found him guilty, accusing God of blasphemy
Performing the ultimate usurpation by slaying Christ on Cavalry
But through their cowardly cross, Jesus embossed mankind with amnesty
Championing over death with the beauty of his fatal injury
And I know, many still doubt and rightfully so bringing up this inquiry
What does that poor Jewish man dying on a Roman tree 2000 years ago have to do with me?
I reply simply, Christ came and died to marry his bride to be
And though death could kill the groom in could not kill the ring
God made us one with Christ and life in matrimony’s cling
Now the undying church his everliving wife can sing
Oh death where is your sting, oh grave where is your victory?
For we have risen above your misery, we will not succumb to your finality
We have overcome your infamous mystery and the infinite reign of Christ ministry
For we are the resurrection, the insurrection of fatality
We are the risen deity, the intersection of a dead yet living body
We live through imperfections for we die to become holy
We cannot be contained by the mouth of the grave
We are the willing slaves, the ones that rose from the garden cave
We pass through death to new birth
We gave the grave to the Earth
We claim today the cross’ worth
The body of his rising, we are
    The risen Church

"Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then He is not omnipotent. Is He able, but not willing? Then He is malevolent. Is He both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is He neither able nor willing? Then why call Him God?" -Epicurus. This will and will always be the reason why we rationally know a "good" god does not exist.

@dmklnko one little thing missed .... he ends with "we are the risen church" , but he said that "the groom is dead". Christ not only died. He rose again. He is alive. It is by him conquering death, life, and the grave that we are able to be partakers in eternity. Just as Christ obeyed ... even to death on the cross ... we also must obey by dying out to ourselves { repentance },

If he knew the bad choices humans would make, then why would he create them if he was a "good" God? If he has the power to control it, then he once again is standing on the wayside being indifferent to the atrocities. Does no one have high expectations for the "Creator" of the Universe?

  • @ShelbySays111

@AznAndy9000 The reason God allows evil is to exist, is because without it, we would not really have a choice. Having a relationship with God is our choice. God extends his mercies and grace to those who believe in and follow Him. John 1 and Galatians 3:26 tell us that we are not all children of God. We inherit His Kingdom when we become believers and accept the truth. God loves us all, but we do not all have that relationship with Him. Thankfully though, Salvation is a free gift.

They don't live that way because God told them to. They live that way because of God and because they want to. I know what you mean by seeing people live their whole lives for God. But you gotta see our burden that we see, because we feel sorry for people living in a false reality that they don't know God and that will suffer an eternity in hell whether you believe that or not. You may call it religion but I call it truth.

I don't believe there is good or bad... We make up our morality, and it just so happens that it benefits all of us not to do what religious people would like to say "evil" things. I don't believe or morals come from a religious text, rather it comes from survival.
