I just bought a V5 combo yesterday after playing it at my local shop. Even with the lilliputian 8" speaker, I got all tingly. When I got it home and plugged it into a 4 X 12 cab, I was in love. So here I am , the following morning, looking for a T5 head to purchase. Great tone and the power attenuator is a dream!
I purchased the Bugera G5 Infinium amp a year ago, new, at $330 and it has the same features as the T5 plus separate channel EQ's and a footswitch for Clean/Gain and Reverb and has a headphone jack, an effects loop and a direct out for recording. It won't push a Marshall 4X12 so, I run it through half of the stack on one of the stereo inputs and it does great. I use it in a bedroom and at 0.1W, it sounds great!
By the way guys, these fellas have removed the Bugera Logo that crosses the front of the amp and they've made it look a bit goofy. The amp, as supplied, looks awesome, sounds awesome, has a fantastic reverb, it will fill ANY bedroom and yeah, it has that warm creamy, harmonic, tube sound. For the price, this is the best low power (5W) head available and for any bedroom player is one to grab. I love mine, and I love it with a passion....
frankly people should be taking the logos off these things. bugera is just a brand name used by behringer for their tube amps, and behringer are a shamelessly bad company. don't get me wrong, they've made some good copies of other people's products... and they've also made some no so good copies. hardly any original designs, and the CEO is a maniac who treats all the employees like crap.
Most of the modern bugera amps have these features on them. From 5w to the 333xl now..pretty cool and for the same price as my tiny terror..which doesn't have that option or reverb option.
I'm playing a 2009 Blackstar HT-5 and the 9 year-old tubes still sound great. Bugera believes tubes need replaced frequently. That's rarely the case with most amps but maybe they do in Bugera amps. IMO, a tube change indicator is unneceesary. 1) Tubes should last a LONG time if you take care of your amp (transport gently and keep your amp clean.) If you can't hear when your tubes need changed, you might bve deaf.
@@guitarplayer2846 I kind of think you're missing the point here because the fact that you're playing the ac5 means that you only have two tubes in your amp anyways which means if one goes bad yeah your guitar amp is going to sound terrible. but for someone like me who has a 120 watt amp with eight power tubes in it if one goes bad it's not that you can't hear it... but you going to have to find out which one goes bad.. what bugera did here was made it so you don't have to look for that certain tube that went bad and you would know which one it was you can automatically replace... yeah but of the app that small you really don't need that but I wish I had it on my Bugera 3 3XL but I have an older version so I still have to do it the old fashion way
Most of Hughes and Kettner tube amps that came after the Coreblade has TSC (tube safety control) which is functions in the same manner. All-time amps should have this feature but most musicians are clueless about this technology so they don't force them to put it in all the amps on the market.
I wonder if next time they could hire someone to play through this amp. I mean, play guitar through it. No offense man but I just want to hear some good riffage through the amp. Maybe mic the cab.
I just got one in yeaterday. Great little clean to crunch amp. Sure beats packing around my 75 pound combo. Running into a Emenince Legend 1518 with closed cabinet. Good demo.
1:41 the most important thing for me is the phone out , so I can plug a pair of headphones with NO speakers? it would have been great if you had reviewed that
You might be right Frank, if you gig at clubs and bars. But if you're a bedroom blues player like me, the T5 is an awesome little amp. It actually has less hum and buzz than my fender Blues Jr and is more controlable at bedroom volumes. The reverb is lovely and at full volume It breaks up nicely, if not massively. At full beans it sounds warm and encompassing into an Eminence 6.5" 100W full-range speaker in a small cab. NEVER underestimate the warmth and harmonic tones of a tube amp, including this one. I love mine and have no intention of letting it go. Been playing 40 years and I know a thing or two about amps. This is one lovely little 5W head for the price...

I had this amp. It had a really bad static problem that got unbearable when using headphones. Other people love this little lunchbox so I'm assuming I had a lemon. I would still like a little, low wattage amp for practice and jamming in the garage though.
Kristen Schroeder I picked up a Peavey 6505 mini that sounds pretty nice. I thought of getting the EVH L BX but the 6505 had more features for less money.
Bradley, no, no static save for the dirty pots on my vintage Harmony. I should clean them but never seem to get round to it. It's a shame about that Bugera but I suspect mine was a bit of a lemon. I took it out to the garage away from the fluorescent lights in my basement but it still had the static.
Kustom Defender 5h MOD for an inexpensive, fine sounding, simple head unit.Monoprice 5 Watt for some Champ-a-like goodness in a cheap as chips combo which also features a speaker out.I have the Kustom, and it's a raucous little thing, but can do sweet tones too. The bass contour knob really works well. The Monoprice is a Champ-a-like based on the Laney Cub 8. 5 Watts of Champtone goodness is not to be sniffed at.Neither feature a headphone socket, which may be an issue for you. Also check the Hotone Nano range of amps. Solid state, but fine sounding.
One more note ...everyone always is like does it have reverb? I'm like who cares...because honestly if thr effects loop is there you are probably going to put your own personal reverb which blows the amp reverb away
It does have gain... and the lack of a effects loop is because it's a real tube amp, not a modeling amp. The sound created by this amp is 100% natural, and not digitally created.
@@tuckerlane7995 Really? Are you dumb or just oblivious to the fact that there are tons of "real tube amps" which are equipped with a tube-buffered FX loop?

Nice amp with a cool LED feature. I wish more amp manufacturers would include this feature on their amps, certainly would make things convenient.

I might have taken guitar more seriously as a kid but for dragging the amp around.
Except near the end of this video, the T5 always has it' gain at full level, is it?
was the drive/gain sounds come from pedals or the amp itself?
What have you done to the logo...?
Is it working well with headphones ?

How much is the hum of this amplifier? Thanks!
The mic sounds like hot garbage, so it's impossible to tell if the amp sounds good or not.

Do you play same 2 chords all night, or actually play songs through this amp???
I came to hear the amp not songs
Honestly I can’t tell if it is a terrible amp or just your playing. That was like getting a root canal!!!
Sounds like bad mic placement. I have a Bugera V5 and it's a really nice sounding 5 watter. Like this but w/o a 'fat' switch or bass control.
but of both
Hahaha, exactly, me too
Can you use an 8 ohm cab with this amp? It say min 4 ohm.
yes, the cab should always be the same or higher impedance (ohms) as the output of the amp to don't break anything
It pushes a 4x12 just fine
yes i run a t5 through a 2x12 8 ohm cab. it needs a minimum of 4 which is 4ohm is the lowest. it can run 4 ohm 8 ohm or 16 ohm just fine

Yeah the reverb is a game changer.

Jeff Spicoli plays better than that and he's a fictional character.
