- You may know David Archuleta from American Idol Season 7, as he was runner-up in the competition. He's now in Houston for his 'More The Merrier Tour' and he's performing at the House of Blues tonight. Doors open at 7pm.

I'm jealous! I just rediscovered him from his Love Loud performance, never bought an album of his or any merch.. he instantly became my favorite male singer ever. He made me weep from his powerful message. Soon, I'm gonna buy a boatload of his merch, I will always support what he's doing. Hope he does a regular tour soon. I need to get a front row seat and a meet and greet.

I love David, period. But came here to say I especially love how he stays true to himself, against all pressures from the business. Like doing that spectacular Christmas album, “they” didn’t want him to do. Kudos to his dad too, who I think was instrumental in fighting with him, at that time, for things like that. Anyway, I believe, it’s the best way to “connect authentically” to his gift of music and to fans. David’s fans appreciate that in him. And, It makes for a real life in a sometimes “fake” world, and a happier one. He definitely strikes me as someone who couldn’t do it any other way.
His dad gave me the sense that he was trying too hard to shelter David from the negative aspects of the industry and take over his career. Hence why David got a different manager and took his career on himself post-mission. I’ll give Jeff one thing, when David wanted something, he helped advocate for him to get it. But that did not earn him any favors in the industry and ultimately led to him being branded as difficult to work with by his former management company.
