What were the amps that you were charging at?
Great question…. 🙌💯💪 I use the Samsung 50E’s so the max charge recommendation is 19amps… Santito was using the Molicel… So was able to push 25 amps…

That's literally just a connector. The chargers are built into the cars. So that thing is just a connector to hook AC to the vehicle all AC to DC conversion is done by the cars onboard charger. That connector probably just has some resistors on contact points so the car knows the limits of the AC system it is attaching to. If it was just a matter of having an adapter then Tesla wouldn't be able to limit your charging speed and charge extra. So you must have some kind of AC to DC converter you were using then? I think the slow charging is like 40 amps and you weren't doing that. If your battery is hot from a ride you really don't want to put it right in a charger so it's good you guys weren't hauling ass. Heat is the enemy of all electronics components but these lithium cells are crazy dangerous. My tenants just burned down my rental property by mishandling and irresponsibly charging an ebike battery with a higher voltage than the battery charger. Apparently the concept of a charging curve was more than their little brain could handle.
You don't want a bunch of people running out and buying that connector and having little accidents. If you are showing something like this make sure you fully understand it first and then provide all the details in one shot so people understand what is really required for this. It's safer for everyone that way.
The chargers provided my manufacturers are usually very wimpy, they do this because it's better for your battery. Fast charging shortens the life of the battery. Some of these batteries allegedly go 1000 charges before degradation to which I say...sure. 500 is way more realistic and that's with slow charging.
Be careful with these things they really do catch on fire. Anytime I build a new pack or I've been on a long ride at ludicrous speed I either use my thermal camera dongle for my Android or a laser thermometer to check for hot spots.
By all means reach stuff, but let's do it in a more complete manner and make sure we understand it all first. Because fire bad. Ummkay?

I got a AiPAS A2 Foldable from AiPAS New York, it has a 750W motor and 48 volt 10.4amp battery and wish it had more power to travel that far 😮 I think I’m going to buy a battery blender and second battery soon.
If you can at least double your range I’m sure you’ll get into some long distance adventures… The boys from powerful lithium can build you at least a 30 ah battery you can attach to a rack and run it in parallel… the 30 plus your 10 you have now will get you at least 50 miles if not more…

Would you suggest buying an ebike and then upgrade what you want or take regular bike and start from scratch?
If it were me I’d get a used bike that has already been upgraded before so you know it can be done…
Remember by buying used you’ll save money… sell any parts that are on it like the motor the controller and the battery… then use that money for the upgraded parts…

Yes 🙌 you can get it as long as you’ll need… but the closer you are to the charger the more efficiently it will charge… 🙌💯🙌
On your halfway point, you said you rode about 52.1 miles and it had taken about 3.07 hours with 1 stop to pee. Does that mean your average speed was about 17-19mph and was it throttle only?
It might be safe to say… some of the trip was on a bike lane that only allow us 10-15 mph… with a top speed of 53 mph on other roads… But I also stopped to get content for the video but edited out to shorten the length of the video…

Hey Mr.E what plug do I need to plug into the adapter in order to connect the the charger for my e-bike
You only have the Tesla adapter in the description. What is the name of the other component
@@o.b.sgeneral3382 It's called a J1772 to Nema 5-15 adapter. That can plug into any Level 2 EV charger (ie. Chargepoint).
I’m referring to the adapter the the actual charger plug is going into that connects to the Tesla adapter
@@o.b.sgeneral3382 That’s exactly what I described. Your battery charger as long as it can take 220v AC will plug into the Nema 5-15 end and the J1772 end will plug into the J1772 to NACS (Tesla) adapter. Nema 5-15 is the standard for a household power outlet.
Does the charger matter. What about a 100-120vac,50/60HZ,20A output is 58.8 14 amp charger. I have a 52V 60 amp hour battery.
