We recently visited National Harbor, Maryland for the first time. We had a lot of fun exploring the area. While there, we stayed in Hyatt Place National Harbor. Steps away from over 40 different restaurants and about a dozen fun attractions, this hotel overlooking the Potomac River is one of several to choose from in the National Harbor area. We'll give you a tour of our room as well as all the common areas of the hotel and discuss the amenities, the price and other things you should know before you book a stay here.

Great video…super job. We just stayed there this past weekend & had the same room ,on the 7th floor with the river view. It was so amazing to lay in the bed at night & look at the Ferris wheel changing colors. I enjoyed sitting out on the rooftop/balcony eating breakfast….I found myself sitting out there for several hours just enjoying the view. This was my first time staying at the harbor & I definitely would like to go back. And as you said so many shops & restaurants to walk to. I loved everything about it. Thanks for sharing your video, now I can show family & friends the tour of the hotel I stayed at. Keep up the good work ❣️

Agreed. It was a nice hotel but the location is what makes this place great. It is right in the middle of things on the harbor. We just walked out the door and we were steps away from most of the things we wanted to see. Thanks for watching our Hyatt Place National Harbor hotel tour!

Pet friendly is great! Our dog and cats aren't fans of travel either! Well our dog loves car rides but not strange places LOL! This place looks great! We will definitely be visiting at some time! The videos you have done are great!
Yeah, I am kind of envious of people who can travel with our pets. But our cats are not interested in leaving their domain at all. As soon as we get the crate out to try to take them to the vet, they scurry and hide. You should check out National Harbor. There is a lot to see here. And Washington DC and Alexandria, VA are a short water taxi ride (or a short drive) away and there are a lot of greatattractions there as well, of course. Looks like a great hotel and thought it was reasonably priced for the area!! We always find the breakfast at hotels are just ok. Nothing impressive. Nice review!!
This was a really great hotel. And our favorite thing about it was the location. It was so close to so much to see and do in National Harbor. You are right about hotel breakfasts. Especially since Covid, the breakfasts have been bad. But even before that, they were nothing special. Thanks for watching!
Looks beautiful. I like that they are pet friendly. I'm a vacation unpacker. Organization is a must for me. The price is decent. I love the mosaic. The harbor area looks so beautiful.
The National Harbor area really was a beautiful spot for a weekend getaway. We had such a good time there. I can understand why you would be a vacation unpacker. We are if the trip is going to be more than 3 or 4 days. But this was just a quick weekend trip so we just lived out of our bags. The price was decent and average what you get in National Harbor. If a person wanted to stay across the river in Virginia, there are decent hotels to be found for about half that price - but then you would have to drive to come see things on this side of the water. I liked the room with the nice large sofa! I’ve stopped looking for places with free breakfast, we rarely like it and like you said right now there is not much available! Beautiful art at the end!
We really enjoyed our stay at Hyatt Place National Harbor. But you are so right about the breakfast. We have never been super impressed with free hotel breakfasts but they have been not worth waking up early for since Covid. I can bring my own prepackaged breakfast food with me if that is all I am having for breakfast. Otherwise, a nice hotel with a nice location. Thanks for watching!

This place is right across the Potomac from Washington DC so it really is a place with a lot of history all around it. You should definitely check out National Harbor when you explore the East coast if you get a chance. Thank you so much for watching and commenting!

Great review! The resort looks a wonderful place to stay. The room is clean and pet friendly. Beautiful view of the river and it must be nice to walk around the waterfront specially in the evening.

No Pool??why?
Yeah, we were disappointed that there was no pool ourselves. It would have been nice. There are at least a couple larger hotels in the area that do have pools if that is what you are looking for. Thanks for watching!
Are those hotel prices fairly typical for National Harbor?
It is kind of funny that you ask us that. Jack was planning on mentioning in the video that the prices are in fact in line with the average rates of the other hotels in National Harbor but he thought he had been talking too long about the price so he didn't mention it. Yes - there are some that tend to be a few dollars higher and some that tend to be a few dollars lower but they are all in the same neighborhood literally and financially. We saved a few dollars by getting a street view instead of river view. And some times of year are more expensive than others. There are sometimes deals on rooms through Priceline and Expedia, of course. And... if you are willing to stay a few miles away in Maryland or across the Potomac river in Alexandria, VA, there are pretty nice known name brand hotels for less than half the price of National Harbor hotels. But then you would either have to drive or take a water taxi to go see things in National Harbor. Thanks for watching and commenting!
