  • Wolfpack Server P51 vs 109...had meet and greet with overall "very good" Pilot he took the 109K4 MW50 to the sky, didnt know him before.
    He shot me serval times down, but after long endeavour, with little bit help of the AI was once victorious

    Great video, hypnotizing....I wonder how sharp were those mustang shots on the k4. It seems that those vertical circles paid off. Why the K4 could not turn inside the mustang I don't understand, it is a smaller aircraft with far more powerful engine. Plus there were 2 k4 in the fight.

      Mustang and 109 were always pretty close in turning performance from what I've read. Also depends on what variants and sub variants are compared. If the planes have the same fuel load, P-51 actually has a lower wing loading. First one was AI 109, he was shot down by a human Spitfire who joined the fight. I'm also not the best 109 driver, I was pulling a bit too hard, should have gained more speed, and MAD is very good.

      Hey as Bomber Harris ponted out, wingload (Lift/Drag) is important, it is not all the aerodynamic properties but good indication between 109 and P51 there is not much difference in turn fighting, goes even in favour for the P51. The 109 is the more capable doghfighter, the slats of 109 allow higher AOA that will archive higher nose authority + brut force from the Engine that will carry you around in climbs, comes also for price to much AOA you will simpley fall out of the sky.
      Not much, but P51 accelerate faster then 109 when it goes downwards in the fights
      when it would so easy, no one would complain that 109 is OP in dogfighting, also said this countles times, can FIght 90% of the people out there with P51 against the 109, the last 10% that know what they are doing is also hard to chew for me, but find there is nothing wrong with it. Good training had lot of fun, even when i got shot down serval times...
      Would say short before the spit arrives at the end of the video hat slightly energy advantage, but hat still a hard time to find a way to goe in the offensive.
      Dont "stall" the Plane, you are closer to victory :)
