- Terry Bollea other wise known as Hulk Hogan has had a very interesting life all thanks in part to the world of professional wrestling. He's been a spokesman, he's been an actor, he's been a cartoon, and now we're going to tackle when Hulk was a musician. Get ready to take your Vitamins and say your prayers cause we are diving deep into this curious 1995 release.

This show is awesome. Some of these albums I have never heard before, and watching these videos I feel like I am not alone and I am experiencing the album through the clips of the video. Your commentary and descriptions are what I want from reviews, literally explaining why it's good or bad. So much enthusiasm, and eagerness for the worst albums ever made is impressive.
A note about "Hulkster in Heaven": I decided to do a quick search about that fact that he dedicated this album to a fan who passed away and gave away all of the proceeds. Hogan claimed that he wrote the song for a fan that was supposed to see him at Summerslam 1992 in Wembley stadium who allegedly passed away hours before the match. The problem is that he didn't wrestle on Summerslam 1992 (he was off of TV at the time because of his involvement with the WWE steroid case) and no one can seem to track down anything backing up what Hulk is saying as true. To be fair, this is the same man who claims he auditioned to play bass for Metallica after Cliff Burton was killed, to which Lars Ulrich responded in an interview with stating he had never even met Hulk Hogan, let alone had him audition for Metallica. That whole story might be another one of Terry's tall tales that he spins to get attention.

I loved that “The Hulksters in the house” was used on that episode of Malcom in The Middle where Reese stops being a bully until the end of the episode where he beats the shit outta everybody
I feel Hulkster in Heaven becomes so much more tone deaf by the fact it's followed by a track literally called "Hulk rules"

This makes me think that I would love to hear your thoughts on William Shatner's debut album The Transformed Man. Its features on many worst album lists, and does have some bad moments, but probably has been judged unfairly by others.
So glad to see a new video! This show rules. If you haven't heard it, Macho Man Randy Savage also has an album. Like 15 years ago, I found a whole case of them (about 30, if I remember correctly) at a 99 Cent Only Store. So, naturally I bought the entire case and gave them to my friends for Christmas. The rest, I gift wrapped and left in random places (on the bus, wal-mart bathroom, on top of a crosswalk button box thing, etc) for strangers to find.

Oh, the joy I felt when I saw Hulk Hogan and The Wrestling Boot Band show up on your channel for review. "Hulkster In Heaven" is one my favorite cheese fondues. Just recently I was singing it to my wife. Fortunately she's a good sport and didn't leave me. Hearing this album reminds me of another potential worst album for review - Village People Renaissance. Released in 1981. Disco was dead and they were attempting to fit in as a new wave band. What could go wrong?

I keep seeing this channel covering fantastic albums. Maybe not this one Either that or my taste is absolute shit. But boy do I ever love Wild Man Fischer. That album is both a document and a great bunch of songs (at least the ones he sings himself and Circle/Taster.

If we are revisiting artists already featured, then we should look at the Beefheart album that even Beefheart fans almost universally hate and caused the entire band to quit: Unconditionally Guaranteed.
The intro to “Bad To The Bone” was the motorcycle noise that were stolen from “Leader Of The Pack” by the Shangra-Las.
One final comment: The reason that "Real American" is the better Hogan theme is who wrote and sang it: Rick Derringer. He also produced the album it came from. And he still performs the song in his concert appearances. Jimmy Hart, on the other hand...was lead singer of the Memphis teen pop band The Gentrys, who had a #1 hit in 1965 with "Keep On Dancing." Unfortunately, that was pretty much the extent of his "rock star" period, even though they did have one other Top 40 hit.
Thank you for reviewing this pop culture fart. A few other people have commented about how the whole story behind the boy in "Hulkster In Heaven" was made up. Some additional info: in early interviews, Hogan claimed that the song was actually about the vicious torture and murder of two year old James Bulger in Liverpool. See page 69 of Billboard magazine dated June 3 1995 for an example. The entire album is a carny gimmick, bless us all.
Man, whenever I want to give Terry Bollea some mitigating slack, like saying "well, at least he didn't exploit a real child's death for that soppy slimy 'Hulkster In Heaven' thing, it was all made up", I find out that he just did it in a slightly different but even worse way... He tried to make money off James Bulger's horrific murder, of all things?
Seriously, Hulk Hogan can drown in a ditch full of cowshit, as far as I'm concerned. There's a difference between being a somewhat charming carny and just flat-out being a disgusting, worthless, completely amoral POS. I used to think Hogan was the former for a long time. but the more I learned about the man behind the gimmick over the years, the more I came to realise he's the latter.

Hi new fan of yours here, to clarify hulkster in heaven is a made up story by hogan. Hogan was not in the 1992 summerslam, nor did he even wrestle in Wembley until 1994 with WCW. Also the proceeds thing is also a lie, UK citizens do not have to pay for healthcare. It's really interesting the delusional fantasy hulk lives in but he is a frequent pathological liar. anyways amazing review I love your style man!

He also ended up just making up that it was for james bulger's family and that all the proceeds actually went to them. Everyone is talking about what album to do next, I say go in a slightly different direction....my vote for the worst musical film of all time(as much as I love it), is 200 Motels, a Frank Zappa project that absolutely defies description :)
I have thought about doing musicals before my brother is a huge theater buff and we have thought about covering The Apple I haven't heard of 200 Motels cause I would love to cover some in the future!

The funny part about "American Made" is who the lead vocalist is: the late Jimi Jamison, former lead singer of Survivor and Florida pop-rock band Cobra. He also sang the theme song from Baywatch Nights. So he clearly should have known better...my guess is he did it to get some of Ted Turner's WCW cash, that's all.

There is every indication that Hogan lied about Hulkster in Heaven, and there was no dead child, and no money was given to charity. So, yeah...the album really is ten times worse. Maybe twenty times, when you factor in the whole 'inventing a fictional terminally child to promote your record' thing.

It's not a bad album really but it's very strange and really crudely recorded a bit similarly to the Residents one you reviewed last year. Actually it's like if The Residents were an English punk band that could afford a drumset but not decent recording equipment.
If not that then I would also recommend "You Think You Really Know Me" by Gary Wilson. This one's more popular so I'm sure others have talked about it. The instrumentals on this are honestly great but the vocals and lyrics are really weird. But I kind of think the lyrics are satirical at times, almost like Gary is playing a character or something.
I only know about Hulkster’s in the House because it played in a Malcolm in the Middle episode
The Wrestlemania album is also pretty fucking bad.
Jim Johnston (the main WWF theme writer) on the other hand has made some absolute legitimate banger theme songs. He's a low key synthwave godfather. Both Jake the Snake themes are great examples.

When making this video I didnt want to cover all the same points he did in his review cause I didnt want people to think I was copying him. But yeah 100% the same song!
When I heard Hulkster's Back I laughed for two reasons. First: Hulk rapping. Second: The instrumental sounds like it was made by the same people who made the Crazy Drake OST. (for all those who grew up with eGames)

Most funny thing about this whole project is people who made the album are great jazz musicians. I thing they faild becouse i love Polovirus. Album was made in 2000 and lyrics are all about how Poland looks in that time. Everything in this album is some kind of weird fake comedy. I think you should try this album. If you want some help with lyrics I can help you. But you must remember, my English is terrible sometimes xd

The Slim Shady LP and The Marshal Mathers LP are some of the best rap albums, the rest of his discography can be spotty at best and terrible at worst.
