He often spares villains. He’s has a odd correlation with a specific animal to the point where he basically creates a franchise of his own tech based off of it. He’s Batman. A lot of villains are like him. Cold, dark, calculating, rich, and lonely. Top that with the trauma of his parent’s deaths, his loneliness growing up, and the pressure of his family’s responsibilities and you could easily have a villain. But Batman goes too far. He creates contingencies for everything, tries to seclude all of the work to himself, and even over compensates in many situations where a simple bullet through the head could provide a solution. The reason for this is simple: Batman is broken. He knows this. He’s a traumatized man pretending to know what he’s doing and shoveling all of the work in his direction so no more crimes like what happened to his family can happen again. He’s scared of everything, but pretends like he fears nothing. He’s worried about the villains because, truly, he sees himself in them. Imagine, Batman kills. It doesn’t matter who, he just kills a villain. The streets celebrate, one less problem has been taken from the city, and people are more scared of the bat. Plus, it felt good. He doesn’t have to worry about that villain anymore. So, the chance for him to do it again increases, and suddenly, that’s his number one way out. His plans become kill rather then spare. He creates technology that is deadly beyond compare. When anyone steps out of line, he goes after them, and they never get back into line again. But with this, he becomes more paranoid. What if someone else starts to go down the wrong path at a young age? Well, he could take care of them early, because why risk the life’s of their future victims. Then, people across Gotham are dying because they purchase a gun or take a martial arts class. All of the bat family becomes more deranged and controlling, with them basically becoming a task force to beat the city into submission. But what about outside? Let’s stop you right there. The answer is because he’s a horrible inefficient person, without the joker, there is no Batman without the Batman there is no joker. They both know this and perpetuate their own continuation at the cost of millions and billions of lives.
It’s possible Bruce modelled him after Tlano. Introduced in the Silver Age, Tlano is an alien from the planet Zur-En-Arrh who decided to become a version of Batman for his own planet. The character's reappearance in the 2000s rebranded him as a violent and unhinged backup personality of Batman; however, the alien version has been revealed to still exist in the main continuity.
Ok that makes sense but...what about police why the hell no police officer put a bullet through joker's brain or law giving joker death sentence and not sending him to Arkham Asylum
Ok but in the comic books I remember a group called Hyper clan. When they executed a criminal, all the other criminals went in to hiding or off the grid. I'm not a bat man fan but even he has limits, and if he did kill, the writers couldn't handle the creation of villians on such short notice
not the same. If he knows that he did something himself, there will be a problem. Or if he understands it, the same effect will occur slower than the one he caused.

I call BS it's because he has a fetish for the Joker... There's no way someone would let s guy like that stay alive... He's killed abused and destroyed the lives so many including Robin... Just off him and then use the Dragonballs to revive him once you get bored Bruce 😂
It was also said that Gotham is cursed, it will just spit out something even worse and killing Joker will bring him nothing good Also it's not his job to kill ... He only bring criminals to justice and that's all
Ngl, this is a lame reason. Basically a copy paste from Moon Knight. I always thought the reason why he doesn’t kill the Joker is because he created the Joker, accidentally of course. The whole OG Red Hood origin story thing. So since Joker is the result of that Ace Chemical Vat accident, Batman blames himself for all of the Joker’s actions due to his sloppy actions(I think this happened in his first year as Batman).
Gonna be honest. That's shit reasoning. And it sounds like bad writing due to the writers unwilling to admit this was an inevitable corner they were written into. One of the movies had an answer for this. "I won't kill you, but I don't have to save you." Batman could do nothing and several times Joker would have been done in. And Batman would have an out. Call a spade a spade, the no kill rule has gone from avant-garde to a lazy out for the writters.
Nah it makes sense. A control freak being scared of losing control after killing once makes sense. Also Batman has taken a "I don't have to save you" stance with Joker for a while now. Joker just keeps surviving.

After identity crisis can you blame him?
I'll stick to Batman still following his code
This is just... a drug trip
Boy batman got security in his mind too!
Edit: 65 LIKES THATS THE MOST LIKE THAT EVER I GOT ON ANY OF MY COMMENTS, THANKS GUYS!
Brainiac: batman you are mine to control
Zur en arrh: congratulations 👏🎉
Brainiac: thanks
Brainiac: 😐
Batman: I can’t kill any of them because that other me!!
Any of Us: oh anyways*offs all of Gothams’s villians* well Bruce, you stink
Don't forget when he does kill joker he becomes the batman who laughs😱
And then he'll be recruited by the Batman who laughs. 🗿
Let’s stop you right there. The answer is because he’s a horrible inefficient person, without the joker, there is no Batman without the Batman there is no joker. They both know this and perpetuate their own continuation at the cost of millions and billions of lives.
Also, he’s a jersey kid
At this point Batman needs to turn Joker into a quadriplegic. That’s not killing him.
Batmans true violent personality
( Batman interrogating thug with wheels of his car)
Batman: My what now?...
I mean to be fair he was in a bad mood
Slippery slope fallacy, Bruce.
Writers trying their hardest to drag out their rivalry forever
Batman: this is my alter ego, I need the max wins
Bro has a streak he aint planning to break
There’s only ONE answer , and ONE answer only : SALES! The Joker is a cash cow. That is the ONLY reason, he has plot immunity .
Nah Batman just love joker😂😂😂
Batmans words: i dont want to go down a dark path that i couldnt escape from
💀 Pretty Bad Re-Cons 💀
It still sounds dumb since they both are trying to get rid of evil, and batman is obviously failing at that
Batman’s greatest enemy is himself
Nah it's literally justice
Yeah sadly your not wrong
"So dont kill em' but give them serious brain damage? Alright." -Robin
Ok that makes sense but...what about police why the hell no police officer put a bullet through joker's brain or law giving joker death sentence and not sending him to Arkham Asylum
He doesn’t kill his enemies he lets the hospital bills kill them
My head cannon is that batman needs his villans to exist
Like that theory where he's a patient in mental hospital or sum?
@@Somkin-gh4jfNah, I believe it came from a time Superman mentioned the reason he didn't tried anything on Gotham was because it kept Batman busy
I always knew Bruce had his demons, but I never expected this.
Ok but in the comic books I remember a group called Hyper clan. When they executed a criminal, all the other criminals went in to hiding or off the grid. I'm not a bat man fan but even he has limits, and if he did kill, the writers couldn't handle the creation of villians on such short notice
Because the writers lack imagination.
That's a fancy way of saying he would just get addicted to killing. Bruce would become a danger to himself if he finally satisfied his inner beast.
He should just hire deathstroke and kill the joker that's effective isnt it
not the same. If he knows that he did something himself, there will be a problem. Or if he understands it, the same effect will occur slower than the one he caused.
Forget Batman hiring him, why hasn't anyone else done that?
Who the hell creates a spilt personality for themselves on purpose?
Mfw all these issues would be solved if batman gave his villans to the legal system to have them do the death sentencing
He has but Joker uses the insanity plea to avoid the death sentence.
Also, Gotham is located in New Jersey and most East Coast states outlawed the death penalty
So in the end, Batman is too weak willed. Yet people will say he would be a good Lantern.
I love Batman just as much as the next nerd but This is the same energy as guys who say they don’t get in fights cause they’ll “see red” and “go too far” 😂😂
It's cringe worthy comic bs.
Gohan be like
You really would think Gotham would decide to just have the death penalty that would fix so many problems
Batman is the worst for refusing to kill villains who have fucking ruined Gotham. Like actually.
No, the justice system is fucked up for not having the death penalty and just sending these guys back to Arkham
If he killed the Joker D.C would lose its favourite villan.
I call BS it's because he has a fetish for the Joker...
There's no way someone would let s guy like that stay alive...
He's killed abused and destroyed the lives so many including Robin...
Just off him and then use the Dragonballs to revive him once you get bored Bruce 😂
Batman: "It'd be too damn easy."
It was also said that Gotham is cursed, it will just spit out something even worse and killing Joker will bring him nothing good
Also it's not his job to kill ... He only bring criminals to justice and that's all
I still say that Batman is an even bigger problem than the criminals he goes after.
Meanwhile Clark has mental defenses but still gets controlled every monday
@@huntertezz bro no matter how much the writers try, no one will ever believe Nightwing is a better hero than Batman.
@@Rengokuo4o6 Yeah no one will ever believe that bad father with the most dysfunctional city and villains is a worse hero than the more well liked vigilante with a better city and was specifically raised to be better hero than his father.
@@huntertezz Nightwing is liked in universe because every one keeps riding his ass for no reason except bullshit. How convenient that he has the least villians and the better city. It's to bad. I thought they'll give him depth but they made him a superman wannabe with no powers. Batman is human and flawed but apparently Nightwing is just pure of heart which is trash especially in his area of work. Also help me tell the writers that Nightwing being a better person than Batman because he is extroverted is STUPID AF.
@@Rengokuo4o6 no depth and has the least villains 😂. Yeah sure, its not like Batman has even tried to steal his villains before and its not like Bludhaven even started out in a worse state than even Gotham.
Jadon Todd: just stay put i'll do it for you
Black Mask every time he “dies” in the Arkham universe: is he gone? Can I come out now?
So why doesn’t Gotham kill him? Batman doesn’t want to bloody his hands, fine, why don’t they just give Joker the death penalty?😊
Gotham is actually protecting the evil people from the death penalty by shifting the punishment to good people
I always wondered how come Bats just didnt give the Joker. The good ole backbreaker and make him paralized from the waist down.
If Batman stop holding back, We will be all done for
People say joker holds back but forget that bats holds back too
He will go to crazy if he doesn't hold back
We already have that already, he's called Batman Who Laughs...We saw what happens with the Crap .
He did and was killed by wonder woman in death metal
*If a WW2 vet such as Desmond Doss is not able to kill anyone so can Batman!*
I am Smokey Ben The NashVillain
"you don't want to see my other side" ahh hero
Its because he cant. Joker is his real doctor and hes in an mental asylum and joker plays along with ut and harley quinn is jokers asistant.
No
no
In the Animated movie The Dark Knight Returns that wasn't the case. The Joker went on a killing spree and Batman broke the Jokers neck without him going insane.
Here batman was too old so it would be hard for him to become a big threat and batman actually didn't only break the neck he killed him it was just an illusion so batman didn't know that he is the one who killed the joker and damn what's wrong with those cop killing batman for killing joker😂

So Batman is mentally strong enough to resist mind control and possession, but he can't process taking a life under the right context?.
And even he thinks he can't handle it, others can. It's like drinking, some are better off without touching the stuff period while others have enough self control to apply moderation. Yet he'll berate and actively stop others from doing what he's afraid of.
Constantly returns seems like someone just installed a revolving door at the prison
"No kill rule" pfft!!
A mentally ill billionaire create a contingency plan to kill all heroes yet refused to kill any villains under his city jurisdiction.
He shouldn't be a hero if he can't even carry the weight and responsibilities of sending villains off, heck he is not even mentally prepared to move on from his parents death trauma.
He also have access to inescapable prison meant for kryptonian yet he refused to used it on his villains.
None of them are meant to kill. Its a big point of his that he wouldnt ever kill the justice league
None of the contingencies were meant to kill The Justice league, only neutralize, it was a villain that modified them to become lethal

Bro also knows every martial arts in the universe but never try to paralyze Joker or even hurt him much. He always just give his buddy a little beat and Joker will be pretty alive next day when he escape the asylum
So Batman’s contingency for Batman is the reason he doesn’t wanna kill cuz he’s afraid of a contingency HE MADE to keep him as in line as Batman. Alfred when you gonna get this man some therapy?
I like when batman doesn't kill because he's a good guy and he thinks people with mental illnesses can get treated and become better people
Its stupid for Bruce to think people like Joker can become better people. Especially since that psycho killed his son, crippled his friend and done so much evil.

Big Batman fan but he’s as nutty as his enemies. I prefer the tactics of The Punisher..If You’re Guilty, Your Dead.
So as a fail safe to make sure he doesnt kill he made a psycho personality that kills to come out

Batman kills one main villain...
All villain in his area that has comin sense: Retired, cleaned up their lives, they have a family now, and maybe reformed to now become a hero...
I wouldn't blame them.
Bro just keeps getting colder and cooler
Why didn’t laughing Batman get a countermeasure like that?
If Batman killed his enemies, DC would have given him his equivalent of Spider-Man's Clone Conspiracy.
So he just has no self-control. Got it.
He does. By not killing. The second he loses that, all bets are off.
@@struggleskywalker1025 Like Dr.Veronica6155 said, he has no self control.
The dark knight Batman. Hold my cane.
Because Batman is secretly a sociopath. He won’t kill anyone himself, but by refusing to kill his villains he guarantees they’ll escape custody and murder more people. Thus Batman’s bloodlust is sated.
so all humanity is like batmen.
Pretty much. If he merely refused to kill his villains I’d understand, but in some stories he goes out of his way to save the Joker from others.
