This is amazing to see how all the magic really happens behind the scenes. Thank you Dev for sharing all the hard work that’s ETM and you are doing. Great info and tour.. thank Jay as well for all that you do along with the team at ETM..
Great job on the video and tour Devon . Jay definitely gives a great tour i enjoyed the our tour last year got to see new products and how they test them.
@@raisethereef that's actually news to me. Is it to have a high end and a slightly affordable product line though? I wish they would add WiFi chips to the drivers on ecotech range, bypassing the need for reeflink.
I think he said some of it is made inhouse. If they had the whole assembly line US side it would have been in the video. In reefing only the germans still make their products in house and even than not all of the producers.
Most of it! was some other really cool stuff but i had to remove some from the video! Not allowed to share all of the secrets! it is very impressive thought o see how much they do in house. It brought a whole new level of respect for the product line!
Yep, great manufacturing. My Vectra S1 failed at 15 months. My two Vortec MP10’s have 3 failed wet sides in 15 months. Not so great manufacturing really?
This is truly fascinating! I just finished my video with the Radion G5 and T5, I'm looking forward to using the versa pump that I bought. Those machine are so COOL lol. I want one, I don't know why I just want one lol I love the philosophies of this company, it's fun to see how they progress also!
If out sourced, it would be at least 50% cheaper. And yes, if this company wants quality, any country with the right machine and right quality control can make it happen. But of course, some people likes pay premiums and feel better.
I understand bit of manufacturing of this kind. Majority it seems is still outsourced. They are doing assembly and some circuit boards. So chunk of manufacturing is not in house. I guess this is to have image of premium product and price. But they do make quality product.

@@ReefDudes I look after my gear. Regular cleaning is a part of my maintenance work. I have never experienced so much unreliability in over 20 years of marines. From what I read ecotech pump problems are not uncommon. I am now phasing out the Ecotech products that I have as and when they fail. The Vectra return pump has already been replaced. A huge waste of money.
AI experiences also not good. New AI Blade arrived with white channel not working. Replacement had a seal hanging out of the unit. Nero 3 arrived in the same order and is louder than the Indy 500. Waiting for replacement after 36 days. Absolute junk. No quality control whatsoever.

Very much enjoyed!!
Nice & chill behind the scene tour! 👍
Thx! It was pretty cool to check it all out!

Thanks Carlos! the test area was pretty cool but had to cut out a few scenes :P I love how they make make so much in house! cool to see
Ecotech Marine has a very good marketing department :)
10:49 MY GOD THAT CLAM!
Its huge!!!!!!
@@ReefDudes It'd take a hand if you're not careful.
Not only echo tech I see a nero 5 in there haha😂👍
Ecotech owns AI It’s like a sister company :)
Keeping an eye on competition, see some AI Nero 5's in a tank or two.
Neros are awesome pumps too!
@@ReefDudes True, I can only mount something like a Nero on the rear wall of my AIO tank.
Same company so....

🇺🇸🇺🇸American manufacturing🇺🇸🇺🇸👍🏾👍🏾. What a beautiful country!!

ReefDudes very impressive

I got a little seasick from the camera movement :(
but very cool that they are so transparent and show all this.
I wish I could join that team
I need one of them Ecotech stickers for my cabinet! :O where can I get one??
Haha didn’t even notice that until you mention it
ya id love one for my new 150gal peninsula build , im running an m1 return pump , and also I think they are related , 2 AI hydra26 and 2 AI Nero5 :)
Yep!! Nice setup
I went shopping for an top end electric recliner today, I realised one G5 is the same price. I then realised I’d need five recliners over my tank !
This is how it should be done!!!!!!

It was super cool to see them actually doing their own circuit boards!
Tell them to please make more Versa pumps!😭😭😭
Fucking love ecotech
Dude, I wanna tour the factory. Jealous!
It was pretty awesome!
thats not social distancing
I always assumed they were made on an assembly line and outsourced to china.
Most of it is in house which i think is pretty awesome to see!

All the components look familiar. That is what I sell for a living.
If they make allot of the components in house, then why do they charge so much for their products?
Because they are a solid well built premium product and they stand behind and support them.. Ecotech has some of the best support in the industry!
@@ReefDudes my two Vortec pumps have gone through 3 wet sides in 15 months. My Vectra s1 failed at 15 months. Appalling quality and poor build.
Poor quality. My two MP 10’s have gone through 3 wetsides in 18 months. My Vectra S1 failed at 15 months. Poorly manufactured equipment.
What do you do with your gear? I have 4x mp40 abs 2x mp60. Have had 2 of the 40s for 3-4 years. Only ever has to replace one wet side
