    One thing to consider with this lift is, if your elbow comes inside your shoulder, you will be adding in side pressure that assists the lift.
    Oftentimes, you can be adding upwards of 10 to 15 lb to a lift just by creaping the elbow in. The added weight from side pressure depends on the angles.
    It's hard to tell whether this is the case in your video since there isn't a front view of you doing the lift. But it does appear the elbow is tucked inside the sholder.
    Generally, if you wanted to do this lift with perfect form, you'd need your sholder joint, elbow, hand, and cable all lined up on one plane. The moment you get your sholder outside that plane, you start adding side pressure to assist the lift.
    Its not bad to train with your elbow tucked in for strength training or to get the feel down. Its a good position to be in when arm wrestling. Its a good compound movement, but when it comes to a max lift that focuses on isolating the back pressure to track progress and gage your current level. It's good to exclude any side pressure from bleeding into the lifts by taking on a more strict form.

      I really appreciate the in depth Analysis, I will take this into huge consideration the next time I retry this lift. Thanks man!

    Also i seem to lift more when the pulley is higher and when the pulley is at a low angle is harder for me. Thats why i try putting the pulley midway like you have

    thats like 54kg. I dont know why you would be upset with that as a national level weight class puller. is there a reason you expected 150? 68kg? isnt that like a top heavyweight number? i heard laletin is at like 78kg. most guys struggle with 55kg at good form. usually they start supinating and just curl/row it. you maintained the hammer form well. its impressive. genuinely curious why you expected 150lbs because thats an utterly insane lift if clean.

      I don’t keep track of peoples numbers too much, I think that is why

      @@keanumcgill Then how did you even come up with number to expect? Anyways 54kg is quite impressive. If you get like 65kg you should be looking at Nats champ at 85kg IMO if nothing else is behind (but I dont know how strong is Canada armwrestle team).

    When the weight breaks the ground, your forearm & the cable being 90° is all that really matters -- be it at a higher angle or lower.
    If its at a higher angle your forearm needs to be more vertical, when at a lower angle, you can lean your forearm forward more.

    brother that backpressure lift is way way harder then devons silly pronation lift. 110lbs is super solid

      yes most elites do 110lbs easily and most can't do Devon's lift clean

    • @brentlionakaboldchamp
      @brentlionakaboldchamp 7 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I wouldnt call it harder, since Devon can do more than 120 lbs on backpressure, but thats still strong af. Above what i can do, anyways.

    10:56 it’s because when doing the pronation lift off the floor we can start with a slight upward angle in the forearm and that puts the leverage in our favour. Your angle on the table back pressure lift is more like starting at slightly lower than 90 if you were doing on the floor, which is much harder and way more impressive. Great numbers dude, my best on this is 95-100 with a pretty open arm. Looking solid my man 🫡💪

    You can try to lower the angle by one notch, you will be leaning less down and it will feel more accurate to armwrestling. It will feel better. Also, for less pain in your wrist you can use a double loop belt. One loop around your hand and one loop around your wrist like Rino Masic does it.

    Hi how much can you do starting in the centered table position like the beginning of the match cuz I can do more weight when I'm on my my side of the table with fist straight up in the air
