Edgy filthy - Frank
He’s so crazy! Lol
I know😂 I would totally do that to a kid if they were scared on a rollercoaster or something. I would also do gene wilders psycho monologue when they’re in the boat that goes rlly fast😂😂.
Gene will always be my favorite, there's literally no comparison
True
Depp and Wilder were both great. It's not a wash out.
Nah, gene was creepy af, Johnny all the way 💪🏽
@@christophera.barahona9854 how?
@@christophera.barahona9854 that’s the character. Enigmatic. Can’t read his intentions. Wonka is supposed to be “creepy” in that sense.
People who grew up with Depp are my friends and family ❤
gOoD mOrNiNg StAr sHinE tHe EaRtH sAyS hElLo GOT ME DYING😂😂😂😂😂😂
Gene Wilder brought Willy wonka to life on the silver screen for the first time ever. He will always be THE Willy wonka for millions of people, me included. No matter how good everyone else is, he laid the groundwork.
Exactly !
I was literally named after the movie with Johnny Depp's Wonka as my mom loved it during her pregnancy, and Wilder is still the iconic Wonka to me to this day lol
Actually, Roald Dahl laid the groundwork. According to his family the Depp movie is more faithful to the book as well. I still love Wilders preformance but if we're arguing who's the best we've gotta look at everything.
@Ace_of_Horns the Depp movie is certainly more faithful to the book, but was also poorly received by audiences compared to the original. Sticking to the source material isn't the only measure of a movie.
@@charliewright2667 yeah sure but people hated the star wars prequels when they came out and now people have changed their minds about them. They weren't ready for something different in my opinion. I didn't see the original movie before the remake but i saw it afterwards and liked both.
Gene is THE WONKA…. Never to be replicated or replaced. He was pure magic and believable fantasy on a screen! Rip 🙏🏽❤️
The way they released is the way I rank them
I like the 2023 one the most 😃
Chalamet’s voice to me seems like a first grade teacher reading a story to their students which is totally wrong imo. Gene’s Wonka would say some of the silliest and most outlandish things but he said them with absolute sincerity. To him creating a “world of pure imagination” wasn’t simply a game to entertain children, it was his life’s work and he took it absolutely seriously. In other words Chalamet seems like an adult talking down to children but Gene was truly one of them at heart.
Very well put
There is a huge time difference between chalamets character and Wilders/Depps years what could have changed Wonka personality, how he talks, how he interacts.
@@metal-godsnobody has mentioned this…🤦🏾♂️😂😂 it’s like wtf? are they even paying attention at all? He’s clearly meant to be the younger Willy Wonka.
That makes literally no sense at all...
I have to agree
Gene Wilder was incredible in this. The range of emotions, going from party host, to concerned friend then disappointed teacher
Man willy wonka has been my childhood for my entire life
I am kinda surpried to see Oompa Loompas went back to green wig-orange face combo.
Johnny Depp's version is our every xmas movie night 😂 it was so hilarious 😂
Lol true that 😂
Best wonka by far
Delusional
We watch "Hogfather" :D
Lost it at the animatronic burn ward honestly.😂😂
My childhood Wonka was Gene Wilder, he took no crap. “ you get nothing, you lose! Good day sir!”
I LOVED THAT SCENE!!! And to think it was all a test
Well Charlie took it like a champ although Grandpa Joe got hopping mad, Joe wud have lost but Charlie beat that test 💪
Gene Wilder was so funny !
My favorite part along with the boat ride!
And all of them did a great job😊
“Every good thing in this world started with a dream 💫 “
Johnny Depp's performance till today was pure gold
That's the only one I know and I like it. He's so talented
He sucked
Gene was golden.
The Johnny Depp one was my childhood and it was iconic asf
Johnny depp is such an amazing actor it’s unrecognizable that he plays Wonka
Gene Wilder, the best. Classic
Jonny Depp is way better
@@SlimJimJesusno way the first one will always be the best
Just because something is old enough to be a "classic", doesn't mean it's good
