  • A BC custom homes contractor came up against some very hard West Coast granite rock while doing site preparation in West Vancouver. He decided to rent a high efficiency Xcentric Crusher Bucket to reuse the rock he unearthed as backfill on site. He contacted ShearForce and not only rented the crusher bucket, but also rented ShearForce's 30 ton excavator to get the job done.

    What a truly excellent idea. The material is already on site, just needs to be processed a little. Win-win for the property owner.

    Weird, but I have that feeling that one day I'll get to go to BC specifically. Who knows, it's beautiful anyways.

    Would be great to know costs as 30t machine and crusher bucket won't be cheap plus mobilisation and demob.

    It's ironic that if this granite would be used in large blocks as a foundation for this house it would outlast this concrete foundation.

      Yes indeed .. a wrong move . Here we are doing in that way .. its a proven way of construction for a couple of 1000s of years..

    Sir,is the crushing mechanism inside the bucket .how it works?? Hydraulic / motorised??

    • @buckwise1583
      @buckwise1583 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The bucket has a hammer mill built in it... probably would work for soft stone... not sure about granite or basalt...

      @@buckwise1583 Very much doubt hard rock also. Wonder where the rebar & wire goes?

      Greg W not sure about rebar or wire such as in concrete.. maybe not able to process that type of material... maybe just loose stone

      @buckwise1583 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Greg W I'm not sure about concrete material... may only be able to process loose material.. I'm sure rebar and wire would give that thing a hard time.
