What is the initial cross-belt for, just before the grizzly in the hopper? It looks like all the fines taken out by the grizzly are just bypassing the jaw and going through the whole train. What ends up on the initial cross-belt?
It’s a side discharge for the fines that fall through the grizzly. In this setup they seem to have the fines going to the main product conveyor so probably this conveyor should be turned off.

Isnt it possible to reduce the RPM of the jaw crusher to safe fuel and reduce wear, there is barely material that gets crushed.
