      @keigoftw ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Two things: First, they know that. They get things wrong on purpose to encourage comments & keep the algorithm happy. Second, your technically both right? The first Storm Troopers were the surviving Clone Troopers, and in a way the decline really does start here, with those fucking chips. The programing within them quashed critical thinking in a way that badly damaged their ability to function at their Clone Wars levels. They were still way better than Natborn Stormies, but "humans first" meant "natborns first"... which is less shocking when you realize "near-human" included everything from Twi'leks to a human society who's native langue was entirely body language-based. So the Vod'e were probably 'near humans' to them...

    • @jotarokujo3603
      @jotarokujo3603 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@keigoftw the scene in question is during the initial execution of order 66. Those are still clone troopers. Also any theoretical cognitive decline hasn't had time to develop yet and it doesn't matter sense for a lack of critical thinking to impact their ability to aim.
      Intentional it not, it's just a mistake.

    • @keigoftw
      @keigoftw ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jotarokujo3603 that 2nd to last sentence doesn't make structural sense, "since for lack of critical thinking their ability to aim" is missing some words, unless you really did mean sense? The 2nd sentence is pedantic. The final one is repeating a more reductive version of something I already said in plain English, like it's a correction. The whole of it is mistaking differences of opinions and headcanon as a situation where one of has to be right and the other wrong. If that last part wasn't what you were trying to get across: tone. less aggressive.

Not to mention she still tried to attack him from behind so If she truly wanted wanted to best him in combat she wouldn’t have attacked him when he wasn’t looking. As much as I’d love for you to be right, the unfortunate answer is bad writing. Imagine the same scene but the only reason vader didn’t pull down the second ship was because he had to defend himself as she attacked him while he was trying. The majority of hate towards Moses Ingram's character isn't because of her skin color, it's because her character doesn't make sense. She willingly joins the people who killed everyone she cares about, is the most violent and the most bloodthirsty of her group, gets away with doing some of the most reckless things, somehow survives an encounter with one of the most powerful Jedi in history as a child (playing dead), and more things. "She's a Mary Sue" seems like a valid opinion given what she's done. If you have something to say, be nice about it whether you agree or disagree.

Never once at work or in Mos Eisley did someone mention the name of the Empire’s 2nd-in-command and most feared individual in the entire galaxy around Obi Wan??? Bail never thought it might be wise to tell Kenobi, “Hey, since your protecting the boy who might end up being of some importance one day, be on the look out for Darth Vader because he’s alive and pure evil. Palpatine is his master (1st in command), he is the apprentice (2nd). Darth Vader is the strongest representative of the Emperor in the Imperial fleet. He gives orders, and will kill Admirals who fail him. The only individual with whom he must obey and follow the orders of his master, the Emperor. The only person who can punish Vader for his failure in protecting the Death Star, and get away this was his master the Emperor. There are a very select few with whom Vader will comply with in receiving an order from. One of them is Tarkin, because he has a trusted and successful long history of working alongside Tarkin.

      It doesn't seem like Kenobi is making much if any effort to stay informed on the state of the galaxy and the planet is fairly isolated from the empire since it's ruled by the Hutts.
      Even after 9? More years the empire still doesn't control or really bother with the planet by time episode 4 starts.

      Well, the grand inquisitor was more or less explained. Apparently, he has two stomachs. So apparently, the fatal looking stab wasn't fatal 🤷‍♂️

      Yeah still bullshit. 1.These aren’t real sith they’re inquisitors. 2. Maul survived because he literally poured all of his hatred to the point of permanent insanity to stay alive. And he wasn’t human. Also Maul was a highly skilled force user that trained under PALPATINE. His survival should’ve been a “damn he’s the only badass to ever survive a fatal lightsaber blow and live to tell about it” to “eh, even a inquisitor could pull that off…no biggie”

    Just because *some* people hate on Reva because of race (which is wrong) doesn't mean that the majority of people who dislike Reva are racist...nor that the character deserves 3 sins off. This is a poorly written character and the lines are delivered awkwardly. I'm sure the actress is a wonderful person IRL and she deserves respect, but she doesn't work well in this show. Stop assuming people don't like characters because they are of a certain race. The original trilogy includes beloved characters who are female (Leia) or black (Lando and Darth Vader) or white and set the bar very high and most of the new characters from the new shows and movies just suck in comparison.

    The Inquisitors start by saying "The Jedi can't help but help people", then "The Jedi would never help you", to the same group of bystanders
    How have the Organa family not thought to put a tracking device on Lola by the time she's eventually kidnapped?
    Leia is kidnapped and the family does nothing, when calling in the authorities would have forced the Inquisitors to hand her back
    A fake jedi makes a living on the outlaw world, and no real Jedi thought to actually hide here
    Reva tracks Obi to Leia by his connection to the Organas. What connection? There is no connection that anyone could possibly know about, that's the whole point of hiding her on Alderaan

    I really don't like what the recent media done to Vader's character. Between this, Rebels, Rogue 1, and Fallen Order, Vader is looking less like the unstoppable hand of the Emperor's will and more like some poor shmuck who gets bested by any main character he encounters. In the lore, this show takes place at the height of his power. He's in the middle of a nearly completely successful campaign to eliminate the remaining Jedi and the story treats him as though that's how powerful he is. If the writers want to maintain that essence of his character, maybe they should stop putting him in situations where he needs to loose for the plot to happen.
    I love the fight vs Reva because it demonstrates how an encounter with Darth Vader should go. He mops the floor with her and doesn't even bother to use a lightsaber until halfway through the fight. That's the Darth Vader that these writers want us to see, but the Vader they keep presenting to us is one who makes dumb mistakes, who is always just a moment too late, who's force abilities are suddenly neutered by the last ditch efforts of the protagonist, etc. etc. ad nauseum. I wish writers would stop relying on the idea of Darth Vader and start actually showing him live up to the lore and gravitas they imbue him with.
    You also missed a pretty blatant sin in the Vader vs Obi round 2 fight. Darth Vader, who, as he lay crippled on the bank of a lava flow, his flesh bursting into flames as he writhed, mustered the strength to scream "I hate you!" at his life long friend, mentor, master, teacher, and brother in arms, and who in this very show tried to mutilate Obi-Wan with fire, throws this man into a pit then decides, "You know what, I'm going to let some rocks and gravity inflict revenge for me." rather than jumping down into that pit after him and hacking Obi-Wan into as many pieces as he possibly could.
