    Imo the fact that Loki sings in Norwegian (Asgardian) and actually manages it so well should be a sin off. I figure the language barrier is at fault, but hey, it's honestly amazing how well he did.

(Since were on the same wavelength here), does the multiverse theory in MCU, where Loki can be a different race, gender, animal, etc only apply to loki? that would make sense that only that applied to him. just about everyone else should look the same in other dimensions right?

    47:04 This Loki has already met Thanos, Thanos used him to get the Tesseract (or tried to, anyway). And I personally believe that Thanos wasn't nice about getting Loki were he wanted him; this is a Titan who tortures his adopted daughter because she isn't good enough for him. I doubt he treats other people any better (maybe with the exception of Gamora - and he still murdered her). So there's a good chance Loki in the Avengers already hates Thanos to the point where he would kill him if he had the opportunity.

    • @TF2CrunchyFrog
      @TF2CrunchyFrog 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Exactly. I'm also pretty sure the Chitauri high priest used the "mind whammy" Mind Stone staff _on_ Loki to control him, before they sent him to Earth with said staff to find the Tesseract and bring it to Thanos. Because why would Thanos and his high priest hand such a powerful artifact to Loki the trickster god if they hadn't 100% made sure he was loyal to their cause? And note how weirdly ill and crazed Loki looks when he pops out of the Tesseract portal in the SHIELD facility; like someone who has been tortured and mindcontrolled. The longer he is on Earth, the less ill and more normal he starts to look.
      But he's still oddly fanatical to the Chitauri cause... which in itself is odd because normally, Loki would never work for someone else's glory. A trickster like Loki might lie to Thanos to survive, pretend to be loyal so he could get away from Thanos. But the Loki in Avengers _is_ loyal to Thanos' cause! Right until the Hulk whacks him like a wet towel... afterwards, Loki acts much more normal. And what did snap Hawkeye out of his mind control? A hit to the head.

    • @alanngli
      @alanngli 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Loki did see himself trying to kill Thanos but getting killed instead, when learning his own timeline earlier in episode 1.
      So it is totally understandable that being able to kill Thanos would be attractive to him, in addition to the reasons outlined above.

Stan Lee had a belief no one was ever completely good or bad so he translated that to the characters. DC is more into the idea completely good completely bad. Magneto is a villain but his reasons are justified because of his childhood and he often teams with the X Men, Venom has teamed up with Spider-Man to stop Carnage. 43:10 - You're answer for "how do you bite a hand off of a god" can be found in Norse mythology, where Fenris Wolf (or Fenrir), which is actually one of the sons of Loki, bites off the hand of Tyr the Norse god of war

    • @GotCabbage

      I love seeing this many Norse mythology buffs in the comments. I have Viking heritage, and I even learned to translate the elder futhark runes. I have Jörmungandr and Odin in runes as tattoos... I also have Vegvesir and plan on getting Aegishjalmur.
      Whenever I write in runic, or translate stuff into runic, or hear anything related to Norse mythology and the Norse gods, I go full Viking buff.
      One of my favorite Norse legends is how Loki is arguably the direct cause for the creation of Mjolnir. He cut Sifs hair, and Thor threatened to kill him. So he went to Brokkr and Sindri, putting them up against the Sons of Ivaldi to create magnificent gifts for the gods. The Brokk only accepted on the condition that he'd get a claim to Loki's head if they won. Loki tried to sabotage the two, but only managed to get just a moment's slip up, which is the reason why the iconic hammer has such a short handle.
      Such an amazing and fascinating culture!

    He was probably more emotional than you expected at the mention of killing Thanos, because he was mind-controlled and tortured by him/his crew when he fell into the void, but the show should've shown a flashback so that people would know about this so yeah I'd make that a sin for sure. Also, they completely ignored that Loki's a frost giant and was lied to for over a thousand years during which he always felt different but didn't know why until later finally finding out and thinking he's a monster, which is the underlying reason for the all the things he's done and who he is now...Why would the writers skip over that when it has such a huge impact on him??? It's almost like they didn't watch the first Thor movie at all. Weird

    • @jessicafelice6767
      @jessicafelice6767 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      To be fair, most people think the first Thor movie is awful (myself not included) so I doubt it's remembered much by many people, including the writers

    • @TF2CrunchyFrog
      @TF2CrunchyFrog 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      1. The whole frost giant thing would've just complicated things & meant more exposition, when it had no impact on the plot of season 1, so why bring it up? It would've just confused new viewers.
      2. Why would Loki mention this to Silvie if he has to assume Silvie's backstory is the same as his, what with her saying she was also adopted, etc? That would be the worst kind of exposition: When 2 characters exposition at each other about things they both know.
      3. "It's almost like they [the script writers] didn't watch the first Thor movie at all." - Yeah, no, I'm _sure_ the MCU writers of a Loki series totally didnt read the scripts of the previous MCU stuff about Loki at all! /sarcasm
      Man, you're pretty arrogant, aren't you? But hey, go with social media culture, jump off wild conclusions and prejudices, because overblown outrage is the only mindset allowed these days.

    Are we going to gloss over that the first episode completely undoes the ending to Avengers Endgame? Captain America was supposed to go back and replace the stones to not screw up the timeline. However, this Loki is a deviant, and the timeline where he used the Tesseract to escape was obliterated. Which just happens to be the same timeline where Banner learns about the need to replace the stones. And also the same timeline where Captain America obtains the Mind Stone and comments about his own ass. So if that timeline has been obliterated, there is nowhere for Captain America to return the Mind Stone to. Because the only remaining accessible timeline is the sacred timeline, which already has a Mind Stone. Granted, if the TVA was doing it's job, they wouldn't have been able to get the Infinity Stones in the first place because their removal, even for a second, would create a branch that would have to be obliterated. And all the members of the Avengers that traveled back in time would all be deviants and those branches would be obliterated.
    A fact that Loki tried to bring up at his TVA trial, and was shot down.
    Marvel hates consistency.
