The only way it makes sense to move to Nova Scotia is if you’re able to pay cash for a house and be mortgage free, there’s no natural gas, heating is super expensive, if you’re rural, there is so much driving for everything you need..if none of that bothers you, it’s a great place to live

Halifax has become a really unaffordable place to live if you consider the salaries.
Rent is almost as expensive as in Toronto but you don't earn the same as Torontanians. Everything else is more expensive than Ontario, utilities, groceries... Nova Scotia has the highest taxes of all provinces.
Halifax used to be an affordable place to live before the housing crisis and Covid.
