Dubai is great but I still thinks it's too expensive for me. Don't want to pay that much to live in a city. I'm planning to move to sharjah or malasyaa. Malaysia is unbelievable BTW
I have been to Dubai 4 times and can honestly say its way over rated and isn't what it's cracked up to be. Once passing through to Australia, once to a crypto event and twice on holiday. It's alright for a few days. However, you talked about the cost of living being high in the UK. It's extremely high in Dubai. Went to a Thai restaurant on the marina last year and it was £170 for three of us, that was without any alcohol. Just a starter and main each. £6 for a coffee round there. Alcohol £13 a pint. £7.50 at happy hour. You feel like your been ripped off all the time and if you do any excursions they're always overpriced and they constantly try and have your pants down. tell you one price, then when you get there it's double because of the insurance! The heat is unbearable in summer. In summer your are confined to staying indoors or in the swimming pool (which gets really stale after a few days) or going to really pretentious, characterless shopping malls selling the same shit they sell here in the UK, the same faceless corporate establishments. There's no sense of community there either. my friend who been there 15 years can't wait to get out. He lives on a estate. House valued at £1m which for the size would probably average about £400k here in UK. Also, be careful buying property there, the Mechanical, Engineering and Plumbing in most of the buildings is shocking because it's been done by cheap unqualified labour from places like Sri Lanka. If you buy property there with a guarantee it will take them weeks to sort this shit out, they will just do a temporary fix until your warranty runs out then it's your problem. There's no sense of community where he lives because it's just a wash different cultures who don't really integrate. Chinese on one side and Brazilian on the other side. The traffic congestion there is a total shit fight, oh and if it rains over there expect your house to get flooded. (the airport floor was flooded recently). Also, the Arabs see you as a 2nd class citizen there. They will just push in front of you in the ques and fellow Arabs who own the establishment will just usher their own preferential treatment. God help if you get into any legal disputes with a local. There is no civil just there for you 2nd class citizens and things take years and thousands of pounds to go to court. my friend is owed tens thousands from his employer and there really isn't much he can do about it, he feels like he's working his arse of and walking a tight rope. there. I don't mean to be negative this is just my own experience and that of a friend who has been there a long time. Have you ever thought of Cape Town. now that place imo is paradise! Defintaly leaving the UK is a good decision though!
Interesting perspective, I guess I’ll see for myself. South Africa has one of the highest murder rates in the world, I’d rather “chance it” with London than go there lol, thanks for the comment
@@MattWebley statistically South Africa has one of the highest murder rates. However, it's a huge country and those crimes are binand large committed within segregated areas (in the town ships). If you are sensible and have security there you are safe. The lifestyle is one of the best I the world. I loved there when I was a kid in Durban) and miss it so much. Cape Town is next level and there is just an unexplainable vibe of energy there it's unreal. You need to experience it for yourself to understand what I mean. There is also so much to do and see in Cape Town you never get bored. Believe it or not there are thousands of British expats there with large Communities in certain areas. It's such a buzzing vibrant place
@@silkroadshaun I could never move somewhere where I needed security or to live in guarded compounds to be safe, safety is one of my highest priorities. I'm sure it is a wonderful place but definitely not for me. Safety is #1.
@@MattWebley great my only advice to u is to have a contingency plan in place. The west is truly effed and seems like they're prepping us to go into war with Russia seems inevitable but the middle East is currently on fire too. There's a genocide going on right now and they have been given the green light to do what they want from the west. U nvr know, that area cud get hot too. Just in place get a place In south Asia too.
Best of luck Matt! 🙏🏻
Thanks Matt

Dubai the home of boxing
Is it? Cool if so
Slight check of my geography and Saudi Arabia is the new home with all the heavyweight fights now getting made. Funny what a bit of money can do haha
@@beachlife2968 yeah I thought Saudi was cos I watched the last big fight Usyk and Fury and it was there 👍🏻
Well done Matt, the UK is gone, would be out of the sh1thole in a flash also if I had the money
Make sure you vote wisely, the Uk uniquely has a glimmer of hope for the future right now
