i listen to a lot of music during the day many artists but i never get tired of timi its a shame a shame nobody grabed this girl and put in the spotlight she deserved
I remember at 14,in '64 listening constantly to Timi Yuro and Patsy Cline also..Timi Is always the BEST singer I've found in this long life....Soooo deep, soo feeling and soo good
Oh she can sing this song! I am sorry I never saw you in concert. I was never aware of you until I saw the film LEGEND about the KRAY TWINS. You were Ronnie Kray;s favorite singer. Boy did he have good taste!!! I started listening to you and liked what I heard. What a voice! You left this world 17 years ago today, but you left all this great music behind for which I am very greatful. Thank you Timi Yuro! A great talent you were!
Thanks for posting. Only recently stumbled Timi Yuro when looking for Thee Midnighters "It Will Never Be Over For Me" after hearing Los Lobos cover it. Obvious why she was favorite artists as diverse as Elvis and Morrissey.
I discovered the talent of Timi Yuro during the summer of 1962 or 1963, attracted by the album cover, Timi Yuro: Soul! I was drawn to the soulful young eyes of a young vocalist offering: A Lovely Way to Spend an Evening; Then I'll Be Tired of You; You Belong to My Heart; Nothing in the World; If I Didn't Care; If I Had You; There Goes My Heart; Be Anything; Somewhere Along the Way; Don't Take Your Love fro Me; Once In a While; and Stardust ... all on one album. I played it to death. I loved Timi Yuro and only wished that she had allowed her wonderful instrument to open up more, less abbreviations and cuts, less shouting, a bit more fullness of expression. But that was her style and she stayed with it. Here it is 52 years later and I see "Crazy" by Timi Yuro here. I never knew she'd ever ecorded it [some several decades later]. I liked it; but, for me - it's still Patsy Cline's song, simple plaintiff lament ... simply arranged and stated.
I had never heard of her before. She was brilliant. She died in 2004. From throat cancer such a shame. What a wonderful silent now, but we can still hear you. RIP too soon.
One of the best tunes ever, sung by one of the best voices ever. Only Patsy could sing this better but I can listen to both all night long, thanks for a great few minutes, j
A forum is where we agree to disagree. I find that I like Timi's version better. It's a matter of taste. The passion she brings to all of her songs certainly exceeds others who have followed. In this case, Patsy comes in 2nd. However I respect your reply --- it's your call.
Thank God we have great writers , poets like Willie Nelson who can bring us such great stories. Patsy was great and Timi when she was alive. Still a great story just different in its deliverance . I believe Willie is doing the guitar solo on this version also , great interpretation. The album is Timi Yuro sings Willie Nelson. Really a great album to put in one's collection. My two cents.
This was one of Patsy Cline's biggest hits and I've gone to 12 concerts to see LeAnn Rimes and when LeAnn sings this song you would think it was Patsy on stage singing it, but Timi brings such a different version to this great song it just shows you what a great talent she was.
Timi Yuro, Brenda Lee, Patsy Cline and other female vocalist they are all great in their own time each have each own style and each listener have each own mode of liking we cannot compare them otherwise if we will then the producer is nuts the best is we just listen and find which one we like that suit or mode shall we?
James Millen agree James, perhaps there was a language problem but no language problem when it comes to understanding the greatest tunes of our lives and all can hear and understand right here and should appreciate each others taste and again how can anyone listen to these great sounds and not be able to hold up one thumb? that is what is beyond me, j
Be sure to listen to Shirley Bassey, too. I wish Timi could have had a good manager. But maybe singing came 2nd to her behind home and family....who knows.
well i do love listening music like oldies songs sung by my favorite male/female artists/singers of the late 50s,60s,70s and 80s because i really care they were still a perfect sounds for me to hear..rather than a sounds of today's generations..almost 75% of them are only irritant to ear and i called noise...ha ha ha..sorry but i mean it..
wow - just as good as patsy cline's version. Willie Nelson wrote this. ? didn't know that. what a God given talent she was. wow the depth of that voice.
I Love that FANTASIC VOICE! I LOVE HER SINGING" WHAT'S A MATTER BABY" U PEOPLE HAVE TO HEAR! YES SHE DOES SOUND LIKE SHE'S SINGING RIGHT AT YOU! WHAT A GREAT LOSS! WE MISS U TIMI!!
Kathy Hurry/Patsy Cline did a great, better version of this song, " Esther Phillips",also in early 1963 ,did the song " RELEASE ME" on a album full of soul Songs, worth a listen. She also did "SWEET DREAMS,[as did Patsy]making for an interesting comparison, written by songwriter, singer, guitarist DON GIBSON,in 1955.Another was "HEs [or SHEs] got you",my favourite version,by BROOK BENTON.
I have to agree with Kitandroxandbec. Patsy Cline just sings this song so well! Just saying. It's probably because I grew up with Patsy these last 60 years. Timi is very new to me, and I do love her singing but some songs just belong to certain people. This one is Patsy's and always will be.
i listen to a lot of music during the day many artists but i never get tired of timi
its a shame a shame nobody grabed this girl and put in the spotlight she deserved
She was one of the greatest singers of all times, what a voice, what a beautiful lady!!🥀🎵🎼💕🥀🙏🙏🙏
Timi, where have you been all my life. You were gone before I heard you. One of the most incredible finds for me. Im blown away.
I remember at 14,in '64 listening constantly to Timi Yuro and Patsy Cline also..Timi Is always the BEST singer I've found in this long life....Soooo deep, soo feeling and soo good
Jane W thanks and I agree so much.
Que gran tema e interpretación Grande maestro 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🇨🇱❤❤❤🖐👋🙋♀️
How beautiful is this..Timi does her own spin on this classic song and makes it her own. Must say that the guitar solo is perfection.
oh the guitar....yes wonder who is playing? its perfection.
Gracias Timi por tu música , por esa voz increíble . Gracias por tanta dulzura . Un beso y un abrazo desde patagonia Argentina . Belleza de mujer . Gracias
Ich liebe diese Stimme!!! Danke dafür!

I like it’s original Timi Yuro songs ! Her voice can not be compared ! The best !
Those old songs sung were best
Thanks for posting. Only recently stumbled Timi Yuro when looking for Thee Midnighters "It Will Never Be Over For Me" after hearing Los Lobos cover it. Obvious why she was favorite artists as diverse as Elvis and Morrissey.
I have never loved another artist as much as you., every relationship has been connected to one of your deep heartfelt songs. Thank you
Очень красиво и сильно,остаться равнодушным не могу. В 60е годы слушал по радио.
Ah Timi, my FAVOURITE female singer of all time. Your biggest hit was Hurt, and that's how all your fans felt when you left us too early.
Jimmy Neil thanks and I agree --- an artist who left us long before her time.

Timi in my 74 years you are Still my pocket rocket. R I P
One of the great singers and please, let's not forget the great musicians in the background.
TY is one of the Top 3 female 'pop' vocalists of the entire 20th Century, or, in other word, of all time !!!!
When i was younger i heard the song but I memorize this song beforehand.
Сколько чувств, и каких, будит этот потрясающий голос!!!!
I had never heard of her before. She was brilliant. She died in 2004. From throat cancer such a shame. What a wonderful silent now, but we can still hear you. RIP too soon.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful rendition :-) S
I agree with you. I stopped buying today's music years ago and it (the music) will die a natural death. Timi and her contemporaries are here to stay.
What a wonderful voice and lovely lady! This is what I call music! I just discovered this beautiful lady! Wish i could have met her!!
Beautiful. girl ; with the best songs ever ; an absolute joy Thank You Timi and a big thanks to all ❤

One of the best tunes ever, sung by one of the best voices ever. Only Patsy could sing this better but I can listen to both all night long, thanks for a great few minutes, j

Been a fan since 1962
Timi Yuro in Deutschland wenig bekannt. Hurt, für mich Ihr stärkstes Lied
This lady has a knockout voice. A unique voice of her own, but a combination of
many of my favorite voices and songs.
And well it should it should. We all miss Timi and yesterdays' singers.
This was one of Patsy Cline's biggest hits and I've gone to 12 concerts to see LeAnn Rimes and when LeAnn sings this song you would think it was Patsy on stage singing it, but Timi brings such a different version to this great song it just shows you what a great talent she was.
Thanks, Milton --- I agree.
I am crazy to
Tell me her name ??

You need to back to school and learn how to properly construct a sentence.
bill reithel a rather rude reply by bill reithel. This is not a forum for pedantics. We come here listen to artists whom we want to hear.

Probably from smoking ! 😒😒😒😒😒😒😒
You can tell from her voice !!!
😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞
Yes, as a producer, I agree, SDarling --- they're important to any production.
I also agree. Sometimes a particular song belongs to the artist who first sang it. However Timi's version is great.
when musics was music.
+romualdo policarpio ... and not high-school baseball or abstract impressionist painting or Bible translation.
I Love that FANTASIC VOICE! I LOVE HER SINGING" WHAT'S A MATTER BABY" U PEOPLE HAVE TO HEAR! YES SHE DOES SOUND LIKE SHE'S SINGING RIGHT AT YOU! WHAT A GREAT LOSS! WE MISS U TIMI!!

I'm crazy thinking of what happening on our mother earth.

Totally agree --- and thanks.
I like Timi Yuro, but nobody can sing this like Patsy Cline!!
Kathy Hurry/Patsy Cline did a great, better version of this song, " Esther Phillips",also in early 1963 ,did the song " RELEASE ME" on a album full of soul Songs, worth a listen. She also did "SWEET DREAMS,[as did Patsy]making for an interesting comparison, written by songwriter, singer, guitarist DON GIBSON,in 1955.Another was "HEs [or SHEs] got you",my favourite version,by BROOK BENTON.
thank'ssssssssssssssssss
I'm with you.... nothing can touch Patsy
OMG LOL More like Willie Nelson sang Timi Yuro. She was around long before he was!
How could I disagree with Patsy Cline's version. However, I will stand on what I say: I still like Timi Yuro's version better. Your move.
I have to agree with Kitandroxandbec. Patsy Cline just sings this song so well! Just saying. It's probably because I grew up with Patsy these last 60 years. Timi is very new to me, and I do love her singing but some songs just belong to certain people. This one is Patsy's and always will be.
love
Yes veay good
❤️
I agree. Thanks.
wow
yumyum
May well have been written by Nelson ---- but (he) would love her version, as do I.
THIS LADY HAS A VERY BIG BIG SET OF PIPES SHE CAN REAL BELT THESE SONGS OUT AND ITS ALL HER BEAUTIFUL VOICE
yeah,,but you love it,,
Yes good
To Me this will always be Patsy Cline's Song...Bob
+Bob Fox And yet, it is Timi Yuro's. But mostly Willie Nelson's.
I'm torn between the two --- I love Patsy's version, but don't be too quick to dismiss Timi's version.
I still like Timi's version better --- her contralto voice.
I think she sounds a little like Etta James what do you think?
a cover tats almost as good as Patsy Cline original amazing
