  • Welcome to the latest video for my channel ‪@KhonKaenDen‬ . In this short video, I travel to Bangkok in order to renew my UK passport (to be shown in a future video)... and I cannot miss the opportunity to visit some great places in Bangkok that I haven't visited for a while, such as Chinatown, Soi Nana, Sukhumvit and my favourite Indian restaurant, Al-Hussain. The best in Thailand! Hope you enjoy!

I upload videos regularly, keeping you in touch with regularly, covering just about everything regarding my life in Khon Kaen / Isan and Thailand life. I cover everything from budgets to speaking Thai and eating local dishes to spending quality time with my wife, Beau. I am based near Khon Kaen city yet still on the doorstep of rural Thailand but will be travelling further afield and showing you more of Thailand over the coming months.

I hope you enjoy this video. Just trying something a little different with the new phone... and being in Bangkok, why not? I start the video getting through Bangkok in 60 seconds... I wish it did only take that long! With Beau, we visit some great places in Bangkok. If you wish me to include anything in my future videos, let me know in the comments section and I'll see what I can do. Thanks for watching and don't forget to like, comment and subscribe! Cheers, Den.

Bangkok is incredible. Lived there (working) a few years after my graduation at Chulalongkorn University, and I felt the city on its pulse every day. I too am a peoplewatcher, Den, I like to sit down with a (non-alcoholic) drink and some delicious food, and watch and imagine the stories of farangs passing by.. No limits to my imagination 😂 Bangkok has so much to offer, especially when it comes to food. I`m sure Beau and you experienced the delicious and tasty side of the city. I don`t know any other city with the same incredibly tasty options from all around the world. Might be Pattaya, where you can find pretty much everything too. Thanks both of you, for this video, very nice edited. I do miss Bangkok a lot from time to time 😊🙏

Yeah, Bangkok is literally a sensation explosion. Such an amazing place... and there is literally something for everyone. I don't think I could live there now (too hectic) but 20 years ago, I would have been very happy there I think. We seem to be the same as people watchers... though I prefer mine with a beer hehe (though I don't drink much nowadays). Beau loved the Chinese food... just need to find somewhere that sells chow mein. Maybe one day! And the curry she had was her favourite ever... it is really nice. Pattaya is OK but there are too many foreigners to Thai people so I much prefer Bangkok... Hua Hin is also a very nice place to visit from time to time! I may well return there one day. Take care and speak soon. Den.

@KhonKaenDen Funny thing, many foreigners think like you, and like to stay away from areas with too many foreigners. And I do understand that perfectly well, integrating with Thais, what is not to like, right? 😂 But I, on the other hand, am Thai, and love to interact with foreigners, so the tourist areas are my favourite areas. At least while I'm still young and pretty, less so in a few years when I'm only pretty, I guess 😂

@@sarlina1 Haha… you sound just like my missus. She loves the tourist areas too, whereas I am the complete opposite. The older I get, the less I like large crowds. I suppose that’s why I only like BKK for a few days at a time! Still, I love how you can literally get anything you want… which I miss massively when in Khon Kaen.
