John Doe whenever you don’t actually look at your kart while you are racing, it’s easy to miss. Just look at the charity stream that they did in Mario kart on their website and you will see Michael explain it

For real though, there needs to be an Oil Slick powerup in this game. Like, you can drop it behind you and it leaves a small trail of oil behind you for a bit. Anyone who goes through it just loses all traction for a bit. So, if you use it on a straightaway, it probably wouldn't work that well. But if you use it behind you on a turn, if someone hits it, they'll just slide straight into a wall.
This is the perfect combo for a Mario Kart video: Tom to combat Matt, GaLm to to rival Michael, and Chilled to match Gav...and the computers to fuck them all over at random intervals.
