I will never forget when Brian fairs dad was my teacher in 4th grade and him and the band performed at my school for an hour i got to meet them and i got a shirt and poster signed by the whole band

I love Matt's back up vocals! Plus the serious look on his face in almost all the videos I see of him doing back up vocals. Cute ^_^
I think Matt's vocals add a nice touch to Shadows Fall. Really compliments Brian's aggressive voice.
This came out 5 years ago, and I just now listened to it. I am incredibly behind on the times.
That verse riff is the deadliest mother fucking metal to slay souls in a long time.

Met Brian after a show once and he couldn't have been cooler. He was just standing out where everybody was heading out. I said "Hey" to him and he shook my hand and thanked me for coming.
I am completely in love with that chorus, the little guitar melody is so amazing.

I meet all of them at Phoenix Hill when they came to Louisville, I had never listened to heavy metal till them. I had bought tickets for myself & Boyfriend who liked them. Now? We own the few cds they put out. Sad that Jonathon went to Anthrax. :(

i was in portland, and i decided to eat at a restaurant near the venue that i was going to see shadows fall with killswitch engage. and sure enough, i saw the members of shadows fall eating in the restaurant. it was sweet.

I lost trace of this guys the last few years and I took some time to listen to them again and I like'em,musically good talented and I like Bryan's voice a little better than before, though they're still not of my favorites,I didn't even know they changed the band logo.
They're back and they couldn't sound any better. Love the new material.

Art is the only one that I had until tonight.. Now I have a few songs from every disc they ever released and some they didn't.. So far, I'm digging the shit I haven't heard WAAAAY more than the shit I been familiar with for the past 20 years or so.. "Stillness" and "Those Who Cannot Speak" are the 2 I've gotten to so far; after those 2 I came straight here to see what other people are digging based on the likes on their videos and this is the 2nd one I've watched (don't remember what the 1st song was called but Christ on the cross it was fuckin retarded badass) so far so good I'm gonna keep watching videos of theirs on here..

I got to meet all of Shadows Fall at a bar they were playing at, the show was badass and during the last song ( The Light That Blinds) Brian Fair (singer) did a front flip off the barricade onto the crowed, and also when I went to get a shirt after the show Brian Fair was the one selling them.

I had listened to Shadows Fall before. But, until this album and then going to see them live....all that I can say is that I haven't ever listened to or purchased a hard rock/heavy metal whatever you all call it. But, I now own every cd they have put out! I love this band! Amazing!

Adam D was a producer of fire from the sky, the last time was a producer of Somber Eyes to the Sky and it was 15 years ago, he used to play in the shadows fall on drums and Phil Labonte was on vocals
My absolute favorite Metal Band..and I love Jason...The guys are sweethearts. If Jason is close he should be a real love. It's like a coin toss, heads or tails. not a double headed buffalo nickel

I met Brian Fair (the singer) by chance in the Soundwave 2012 crowd in Melbourne, he's seriously one of the nicest blokes ever. Probably the highlight of my day. Oddly enough I didn't even think about asking to touch his hair.
Also, props to the Saw V reference in the video. \m/
So I was looking for more metalcore to listen to, and I found this, which sounds like thrash had a baby with metalcore...and I have never been happier.
Shadows fall I would catogorize between metalcore and thrash, cause you can hear the thrash influence in their music as well as the metalcore so it really balances out well enough to give them their own style in their music.
Met the guitarist of this band at guitar center in west springfield mass, wicked heavy
