I’ll go to my grave saying it: Shadows Fall is the best metalcore band of all time. And Brian Fair has such a great, unique voice. What a talented band.
SHADOWS FALL! now these were the best days of some great new wave American heavy metal shows. One of the best I recall was probably 1 year after this show during the summer of 2005 at the OZZFEST:10 year anniversary tour. I saw Not only SHADOWS FALL, but also KSE, IN FLAMES, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, MUDVAYNE!, ROB ZOMBIE, IRON MAIDEN, & BLACK SABBATH. It was a show I will never forget at least as long as I'm alive
Ajax9774 that was an amazing show. I caught that one as well. I’ve probably seen Shadows Fall, KSE, Overcast, God Forbid,All that Remains, Seemless etc; Basically all Mass and New England Metal!
I had the time of my life at Ozzfest 04? I think? I saw these guys and a fuckton of other badass bands like Otep, forget the name but Christina Scabbia is the singer heavens a lie? Also, slipknot, Priest (not a fan but I was fuckin a cute Odinist chick in the Porta potty during the set) Superjoint Ritual (saw Phil yelling white power giving Roman salutes and frankly I LOVED that shit so come at me), BLS and goddam original lineup Black Sabbath!!! Fuckin awesome day and lots of good memories...
Well said. They were a great band. Why did they break up?I saw them once opening for mushroomhead and during the headliners set brian was standing behind us and we briefly talked to him.
@@tatchueable I always wanted to check out New England Metal Fest, but always had other plans or more important priorities. A few of my friends were able to make it a few times and said it was a great time. I also got to see Shadows Fall a few times on the Sounds of the Underground tour 2006 & 2007 along with Chimaira, Lamb of God, All that Remains, Trivium, and Gwar 😜 lol they were hysterical and awesome to see with the original lead singer Dave Brockie both times.
Sooo fucking much. I got to meet them a few times. Great fucking guys. Their energy on stage is amazing and around 9:50, the guy singing with Brian proves that they love and respect their fans. They will always hold a special place to me. Stay metal 🤘
@Matt Hudson so cool you got to see them live...I never got to as they never came near me. Totally agree Shads is a very under rated band. A ton of talent here. Their song writing and musical arrangements are top notch.
Jon and Matt are back at it right now. It’s not Shadow’s Fall, and not Brian on the mic, but the music is KILLER and we’re working on finishing up the demos now. Stay tuned to Jon’s Instagram for updates!!

This band is was so good. I am still shocked they never got as big as Lamb of God. The music is just as good if not better in some instances. Certainly just as heavy and punishing.
So many circumstances. So many people involved. I'm shocked that LOG is as popular as they are. I really like LOG, but Exactly as you say, Shadows is as good and better at times.
GANGGG Reunited for Metal&a hardcore fest! And yes Jon Donais kills it any band wether it’s Anthrax, Shadows or Living Wreckage. Greatest guitarist of all time write that on my gravestone ☺️
I am so happy I went to see them every chance I got from 02 through 08. I thought we would have had a reunion by now but I guess not. I know if they do get back together I will be there!
@@WarofThoughts oh god i can't remember. 06 or like 07? they were on a Miami ink tour i think. it was defiantly a tour themed around tattoos, i remember that for a fact. killswitch still had howie, and all that remains still had oli (r.i.p.)
@@hughneutron5303 I was able to see All That Remains on their last Dallas show, just a few weeks before Oli passed away. It was so surreal waking up that day and having a friend send me the news. 2018 was shit for a lot of reasons but that was just the icing.
@@hughneutron5303 I don't know why I never got into CoB as much. I guess they weren't on the radar so much around the time I was growing up as the New England metal bands, and it didn't help that there weren't any solid music stores and I didn't have much money as a kid so I was pretty careful about what I bought. I was into At the Gates though. The European metal just did not blend over into the American market as much as American bands obviously, but on paper, I should have been a fan of them. And they were a little before my time, going back to the 90s.
Thank you so much for this, they stopped before I was really old enough to go to shows or even have money for tickets so this is the closest I can get. Fuckin love these guys
These guys were amazing, I was there and can't believe how long ago this was. I saw them at every NY/NJ show they played, miss them so much. The good old days were amazing.
Some still allow it. Off the top of my head, The Black Dahlia Murder allowed it at their Nightbringers show in Houston. But there was nothing separating the people from the stage. They were ENCOURAGING people to come up and go nuts. Depending on the band and venue, some will allow it.
Greetings guys from Pittsburgh Pa USA. I'm a huge metalhead and fan of all forms of heavy extreme metal music especially metalcore. My personal favorites are SHADOWS FALL, GOD FORBID, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, PARKWAY DRIVE, AUGUST BURNS RED, TEXAS IN JULY, WITHIN THE RUINS, INVENT-ANIMATE, VEIL OF MAYA, and countless others.
