@@the_elmeister Thank you for inspiring me to make timestamps like this!
@@ricko257 you got several timestamps incorrect. I am going to post the official version which will be more accurate. You also missed the portal timestamp as well, which I will have. No disrespect whatsoever but you missed several.
@@the_elmeister Thanks for the feedback! I will make sure to add the portal timestamps in the future.
As always, we appreciate you taking your time to complete these timestamps and share it with the community. We appreciate your efforts in ensuring that said community, has all the information they need that can help make the experience even more informative, especially as it relates to the accessible stations. Fantastic! Back in the late 80s the 4 train was the best train to railfan on. Awesome fast express service throughout. Great headways. All different kinds of Rolling Stock on the line! Lots of train races with the six and a two and three. And always rfw. Oh yeah. Old Yankee stadium. Thanks
It’s truly our pleasure 🏆🏆🫡🫡
That 4 line is very exciting, full of high speed train action awesome ride!
I'm just amazed by the sheer number of routes in NY. In Philly, we have one subway/elevated line, one dedicated subway line, 5 trolley routes and several suburban light rail/train lines. Even the NY transit map alone is dizzying but I live for these videos! Thank you so much WTAE - you're the best! 👍🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
It’s truly a pleasure and thank you so much for your support and for sharing a few interesting insights about the Philadelphia transit system; quite interesting to say the least. We’re honored you’re able to acknowledge the genius of another vital system to the East Coast area.
Get this man to 100 million he deserve it for all his hard work

One of my favorite lines when When I was in the A Division. What's crazy is that you can run local all way from New Lots and still be express in Manhattan, just little after midnight. Although I did jobs where I was scraping the wall ( running local) behind the 6 train from the Bridge all the way up to 125. Some nights I ran all local stops from New Lots to Woodlawn. Still an enjoyable line anytime of day.
Thank you for sharing this experience of what it’s like to be an operator of this system/line. 🫡🏆
*Living on Grand Ave. in the 1960s, Burnside Ave. IRT #4. and the IND D. and CC. train to the city were my family's choice of stations, as a very young boy I enjoyed standing at the front door of the car pretending to be the motorman, so now 66 years old watching this video last night brought memories and tears to my eyes...*
*Thank you!*

Growing up we called it the Iron Horse
Thanks for sharing. How was the iron horse’s run this time around?
My time goes way back when the fare was .15cents,the most memorable were the trips to Yankee stadium, and the worse was the derailment somewhere around Brooklyn bridge or 14st with the drunk motorman Robert Ray look that one up
Well this was a pleasant surprise. Now I have a good hr to spend watching something I like😊
We're honored to know the surprise was pleasant. How did you like the experience?
Thanks for these wonderful videos. I love the sounds and watching the signal lights change. I just have to remember when I get behind the wheel of my car that yellow traffic lights change to red and not to green! And props to the track workers who have to work next to the live third rail.
Why do the announcements along parts of the line say "This is a Manhattan-bound train" or "This is a Bronx-bound train" and not "This is a Woodlawn-bound train", since Woodlawn is its final destination?
Thank you so much for sharing this and sharing your sentiments as it relates to the videos. It does take some, “getting used to,” as it relates to the signaling system vs driving on the streets but more importantly, thank you for sharing your appreciation for the track workers. Working around the third rail is quite a challenge and they continue to do an awesome job, despite that anxiety.
When it comes to the announcements, though it is a Woodlawn bound train, the train does journey through different Boroughs and so, for those who are unfamiliar with the system, we imagine they would have less anxiety knowing that they are heading in the right direction, Borough wise.
This is satisfactory to watch if your not in nyc
Nice work on this video Welcome To An Experience! I live by the 4 train station at Fordham Road! And I ride the 4 train whenever I get the chance! And when I get on the 4 train I love to play some Kirby Star Allies or Kirby And The Forgotten Land!

Anyone know what the speed limit is between Utica and Franklin? Always love how the train blitz through that section only to have to go slow due to timers as it gets to Atlantic Ave.
It may be 20 mph leaving Utica Ave on express track (due to the shift with the switch, though still technically going straight).
From what I remember was also 20 mph a little after turn in switch from Nostrand 2/5 line joins…Of course just about no train op would adhere to that, considering having to brake on straight track when approaching an upgrade, as well as no timer enforcement.
Yeah ur right them 4s do Acela express through there
Would you like to see the speed limit added to the videos?

Great observation and shoutout to the person who answered the question for us. 🫡🫡

19:02 You start to see the abandoned Worth Street Station.
Great observation. What year was that station abandoned?
@@wtaenyc I don’t know.
Can you please do the (R) from bay ridge to 71 ave 🙏
Thank you so much for the suggestion. We look forward to sharing all that we have to offer.
Could you do the 1 train to south Ferry
Thanks for the suggestion. 🫡
How is the camera view so low? Very unique.
Thanks for sharing. 🫡
If I had to guess, the camera is somehow secured to the platform that's used while walking through the train cars.
Too bad we can't get a front view around the old south ferry loop when the 5 runs to Bowling Green on weekends.
Thank you so much for sharing your suggestion. We look forward to sharing all that we have to offer. #seewhatyoudidthere 🫡
Can you do the J/Z line next?
Thank you for the suggestion 🫡🫡
At 10:03 i wonder where the track on the right is going to and what train rides on that track?
Great observation & question.
I remember riding this in my childhood years and if you were handicapped such as a walker or wheelchair this service was not for you, yes some stops had escalators at times they didn't work I hope although I don't live in New York anymore that the service would be handicap friendly. The last time I was there was 50 years ago, where some trains were air conditioned and some weren't, which made it unbearable in the summer despite the ceiling fans ,again some would work and the ones that did work threw out hot air.
Thanks for sharing this memory you shared from years ago. We’re proud to see how much the system and trains have improved since then and shoutout to the system for installing more accessible stations. We manifest them making more stations accessible once they receive the necessary resources. 🫡🫡
W video but I kinda wish it was an R142A
Thank you for sharing despite it not being the equipment you preferred. 🫶🫡
An underground bridge? 42:32 Wonder why it was built that way?
Great question and observation. The genius behind it is quite interesting...the reasoning is the mystery.
R142A
Thanks for sharing this suggestion with us.
How about that pigeon at 46:28 though. 🦅
Wonderful catch...Thanks for pointing it out. 🦅 💨
What do the blue lights mean throughout the tunnel?
Great question. These are there for workers to locate whenever there is a case of an emergency. 🫡
Blauw en groen zijn kleuren die in de tunnelbuis erg op elkaar lijken.....

Can you please do the Times Square shuttle to Grand Central
Thank you for sharing your suggestion. We look forward to sharing all we have to offer.
Why didn’t you do it?
I hate when videos force phones to max brightness.
Interesting challenge...Why do you think this is happening?
Do you video work trains?
Thank you for the suggestion; we look forward to adding that to the manifestations 🫡🫡
Can u do an R142A version
Thanks for the suggestion. 🫡🫡
Np
I thought the 4 train used R142As but the propulsion is R142 lol
Great observation. We imagine the line is using both sets of equipment. How did you like the video itself, despite it not being the R142A?
R142 4 train
How'd you like the experience?
Good
I liked this train when I used to go to the Yankees game and 161st outside better than C and D trains which underground oh the old Yankees stadium I only went the new one only two times one with friends the other with a girlfriend 😊 yes but not the Bronx zoo
Thanks for sharing 🫶🫡 Which train do you like most now?
I thought we was gonna get an R142A this time, multiple people keep saying they want an R142A for the 4 train videos as well. Not fair ngl.
As good as this guy's videos are, he lied to us again.
@@johnnysantoro965 Yeaa😪
Thanks for sharing your warranted feedback. It is unfortunate that the train equipment used for this video, was not the one the community were looking forward to. We look forward to sharing all that we have to offer and imagine that our work will be appreciated, despite the, "minor," hiccup. 🫡🫡
We appreciate you for sharing. We would love to hear where a lie was told as we pride ourselves on being honest and truthful, to our community. 🫂🫡
@@wtaenyc it's not transits fault. Fix your thumbnail. While I do appreciate your videos, you have to take responsibility for this one.

Thanks for sharing your suggestions and for manifesting the LIRR experience. It will be an honor to bring them all to you.
Do you ever have to cut things like fights on the platform out of videos?
We wouldn’t post any video that did as we are looking to promote a healthy culture to the underground; we wouldn’t want to showcase unfortunate events. 🫡
Like the route sign was I don’t know acting crazy like the Ford train was like almost about like while we was on the train and we will be approaching 110 83rd St. the The Doors we’re closing on my mama😂

42:33 Why does it look like a through truss railway bridge over a river ????? What is this ??
Aarre Peltomaa
It is actually crossing over the Hudson Line tracks of the MetroNorth Commuter Railroad just north of 151st street and the Grand Concourse.
Great observation and question. That is quite unique for this line and we are happy to see that a rail fan was able to answer this question for you, and for the entire community. 🫶🫡

one of the wild west shoot out trains. too many guns in NYC.
🔫❌
Nobody’s hiding under the station platforms. Disappointed
An opinion you're entitled to. We're thankful for that not being the case as we would not want anyone, including yourself, to ever be in that situation; now or in the future. The more clean and safe the tracks are, the better the overall experience. 🫶🫡
