P.S: A lot more could've been said about each of the various fields within CyberSec. I barely mentioned the Defensive Team: The Blue Team. These are the heroes that wear capes indeed. I leave it up to you to dive deeper into the various facets of Cybersecurity. This was my side of the story only.
I just passed my Network+ today. I'm going for the Google certification now, and thanks for the video bro. It's always nice to hear someone else's journey. For me, I finished high school, and now I'm pursuing certifications, aiming to get OSCP within a timeframe of 1.5 to 2 years.
I dont want to get you off your plans, but try get practical right away. Get on hackthebox and get straight into it. There wont be much in the google certificates that you cant get on there. Or if its cloud you are interested in, get on pwnlabs. The point is, get out of course/tutorial hell and get practical right away
absolutely! Confidence comes with strong fundamentals. And you can only get those through absolute grind and long hours. There is no quick way to get there, it will take time. If you don't quit and actually try hard, you'll be successful though.
This is great! I have been watching your videos on rooting boxes regularly, and it is informative. You got me hooked with your first video on methodology. I think it would be also beneficial for you to go into detail on how you have your notes automated/created, how you use your text editor(I think sublime) etc. this will really help following you rooting boxes. Keep up the great content!
Thank you very much for the kind words. In the setup & config video, I did go into how I do all that but I will make sure to emphasize it again in the next video for sure !
If you want my humble opinion, I would go through the cpts course and then do the OSCP! That will put you well on your way. At least, that is what I have been doing

@@ByteSizedSec makes sense man appreciate your help bro.
You are truly right about the things you said. People directly jump to OSCP rather than going through the hard work of doing the basics first.

Do you think doing the CPTS from Hack The Box is a good cert to get started in pentesting/redteaming?

@@ByteSizedSec Thats what i was planning on doing it seemed like the best way to get started and make sure you have the best fundamentals possible
Absolutely! Good luck with that
