Even after several years of listening, I still love this album. Its a absolute hidden gem in black metal and despite its odd vocal performance witch its a one of a kind - even for people who think they don't like the mysterious norwegian black metal are touched after a listening from this CD. Then I mean CD, not a crappy mp3 file. Black metal isn't just for religion haters, but for people who discover that life has extra layers it you let the darkness in mind enter freely. This give the joy in life an extra dimension. I´m norwegian and have also I´ve lived in Honefoss for several years, the birthplace of this band. Despite its the only album made from Kvist witch makes its a mysterious rock and roll legend. The most impressive is its this 16 years old drummer. If you think Metallica have impressive drummer, you live on a lie. It sound like its a very expensive production, but its in real a amateur made CD. The keyboard player now play in the electronica band Exploding Plasma. I will recommend Svarttjern for a modern version of Kvist.
Great album. The fact that a bunch of 16-17 year old Kids made this in the 90's is awesome! It's beating the shit out of any modern black metal bands to this day. The atmosphere is nothing but excellent.🙌
