There are other uses too. So yes Suisei uses "although" quite correctly. Though I hope she adds a more correct or related statement. She could have added this (after although) "I speak Japanese, I hope overseas people could come too"

If you can say aye ei eye ohw you, then you are 90% there in pronouncing perfectly. If you can pronounce vowels as a eh ih oh oo, then you are 80% there in Japanese, Spanish, many SEA countries, etc.
Even if Suisei speaks slowly in English the fact that her pronunciation is spot on with nearly no Japanese accent is impressive. Mio and Kanata should have given her extra credit instead Kanata failed Suisei.
