At that point I was thinking maybe Max didn't have to go through all that trouble to put on a Powerline show. He could've just introduced himself and started a conversation. But at the same time Roxanne doesn't bring with her that high status, inaccessible, stuck up personality that a pretty popular girl might. If only Max realized that earlier he would've had her stress free, but it's still ok though because doing those things like dressing up as Powerline and going to the concert really showed that he really cared about her and would do almost anything to have her. I love the animations of the facial expressions of the characters. It's so expressive. And also, unpopular opnion: I wish Disney would make 2D movies again. There's nothing bad with 3D. It's just that, I wish they would return to where they started.
Idk if that's really an unpopular opinion so much as one that doesn't occur to the newer gen's that never saw it to begin with. Those who grew up or were shown 2d classics definitely have noticed the time and care taken with the details, backgrounds etc. and just general charm of pre-3d animation.

Not that 3d doesn't have its moments (I can't imagine Toy Story, for example, in any other style), but I certainly wish variety in movie art wasn't dying out due to studio cheapness, not wanting to pay for the time and talent of other options.
