One trick I found out that makes taming the otters super easy: Fly your Argie over them, and pick the otter up in the Argie's beak. Take the otter over to the coast, and land the Argie, and make sure the Argie's got "Player look" set to On. That way, you go into the water, kill a fish, drag it to shore, and the Argie lowers the otter into the perfect position to feed the little guy. I also use a Snow Owl to IR scan the water for the otters first, then come in with the Argie for the pickup. SUPER easy, but not everyone has access to Snow Owls.
Thank you Cheese I didn’t realize otters work to help keep you cool, I’m based in the desert so may have to start running around with mine. Also didn’t know that melee boosted insulation
OH wow, I love this they added my favorite animal! What happens if you get them a whole troupe/Gang? would they turn into a wave of squeaking death? Also, I find odd you can only feed them fish since otters eat pretty much anything that's meat, including other small mammals.
Which quadrant or which river are the otters most commonly found in? I know it was near his base but I don't remember much of ep. 1 when he likely settled there.
Hey cheese. I’m only asking for help because you’ve been nice and responded to me thus far. The imprint mechanic in the game is the most alluring thing to me and it’s either bugged or non existent because my Dino matured before I can “care” for it. Do you have any knowledge or remedies for this? Thank you and whichever god bless you.
That means that your maturation rate and your imprinting rate for your sp/server don't match up. It took us forever and a lot of experimenting to get the rates to the right values.
hahahaha when i start i was in same spot as u but it was kinda clear so i like it and start taming all what i can basiclly trik and pruss and than after like 15 days there was 2 spaino and 1 alpha cornot they attack my based and killed with everything i couldnt even gather my loot because more of them came in that place rip me
When I discovered there were Otters in the game I tamed 20 of them just cuz they cute AF.
They really are
I couldnt read how to tame it and I kinda...clubbed it. It yeeted itself across the island never to be seen again.

Yah that's true... but for me that takes the fun out of it. I don't like "trap" taming...
@@RoyaleWithCheese You created a permanent trap next to your house lol
@@nainoaperez1992 because else he just wouldn’t be able to taim some dinos
They will bring you pearls in the water too, but they will turn on their back and have it on their belly. 😊

If your on foot yeah spinos are dangerous, if your on a mountain it can't climb however, it's about as harmless as a parasaur
You can say that about literally any Dino dude...
Nice

What stack mod do you use?
