Hey mate, for the first technique, if the attacker rolls forward instead of sitting back on his butt with the toe hold would you still invert?
I get toe holded from the knee shield pretty often, I'll keep this in mind next time

Very good instructional. A lot of people are using these low percentage rolling toe holds to go out of bounds and get points even if you are already on their back.Not Cool

Tori should roll forward. Sitting allows Uke to move his hips in a way he can escape. It is reat technique though.

Is this defence (second technique) still suitable if they swing their free leg over the top when you straighten you leg/roll?
then they have a double attack: toe hold (low chance) + knee bar (high chance).. need to deal with knee bar then.
Tell the students playing the Djembe in the background to keep it down so we can hear.

I am older and I cannot deal with toe holds. I just tap. I cannot afford to have an ankle injury again.
