Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan plays Raag Gawati, which is an evening Raag. In this composition, Ustadji plays yet another signature composition of his in teentaal combining both Gayaki (vocal style) and Tantrakari (right hand/instrument stroke) elements. Ustadji's playing exemplifies his balance of both techniques beautifully. The variations played by Ustadji have very particular patterns, which are highly intricate and complex to play. He concludes with jhalla.
