    This was the most fun speed run I’ve seen on the channel. Super easy to understand how these lines unfold, started to use this in my games and have found a lot of success so far.

      Most helpful maybe, but most fun is definitely the queenless or copycat runs, imo

    I got to use the stonewall against a GM the other day. Not only did I beat him, he gave me his GM title. Then my ex called me to tell me she was wrong and wanted to apologize. After that my pp grew an extra 4 inches. Thank you Aman I owe it all to you and the stonewall

    Great series, thanks Aman! Building habits got me comfortable with playing chess and this stonewall series got me a great offbeat opening that is so much fun to play and attack with. First of many times I’ve reached the end here, I had stopped at 1800 or so previously because I didn’t think higher ELOs would see similar lines, but I was so wrong :)

    I’ve watched this speedrun series through twice. I after the 1500 level I lose understanding of the positions but it’s still entertaining. I went from a 200-700 with just the stonewall and London. Thank you for that😂

    I’m so sad that it’s coming to an end, I thoroughly enjoyed it (and improved from it)

    That is the second time I have watched stone wall. Some of these were when I was going in bed or chilling and I realized I have missed some important points. My elo went from 900 to 1050 during that period mostly last 3-4 days. I really like that opening because you find easy attack positions and relatively solid defense as long as I don't blunder. Recent videos about French defense was also useful because when opponent advance the pawns in the center I directly transform the game into a France and go for pawn hunting which usually works at that elo. I also watched the bird but it's a bit boring for me and has a weak defense I would say. If I am in a good day I feel invincible with stone wall. The habit series on the other hand was my start playing chess. I think really good for beginners as the defense is really strong and the moves are easy to remember. Habits are also kinda boring and very few games turns into tricky tactics and there are plenty of exchanges. Didn't watch a series about London, Caro and other popular openings though.

    One of the best speed runs I have seen. I wonder what will be the next one.

    I just played a little rapid tournament for my first time. In preparation “studied” your stonewall speedrun. Ended up playing stonewall 3/4 games and won 3/4 games

    yeah great series, only thing I noticed is that after around 1800 the explanations became less and less, I guess it is hard to explain deeper calculations and nuances and will lose on time. But excceeeellleeent series, best by far imho

    Verry good chessopenings. I've watched the whole series. But what I encounter the whole time is when I am black. 1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 and then they hit me with the advanced 3. e5!!
    In the whole series it never happened to you but I would really like to see your response, because I am never able to play f5 or Nf6.
    It's the whole reason that keeps me from playing the stonewall with black against 1. e4

    • @moehoward95
      @moehoward95 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In that case you can switch to the french defense, e5 is the advanced variation. Just put pressure on d4 with c5, Nc6 and Qb6. If you insist on trying to play the Stonewall, Aman plays f5 hoping the other guy takes en passant so he can recapture and still get a stonewallish position, those games are cut from the main videos but you can still find them on the chessbrah VODs channel.
