i love this movie!! i know people are tired of found footage but that jumpscare with the clown is so perfect and terrifying that I can't help but love it
After I watched this I looked up some reviews and they said the sequels weren’t all that great. I really dug this one though so I’ll check out part 2 at least in the next week or so.
@@therobw correct, the second one is meh, the third one is solid in my opinion. But each one Ties into eachother pretty dang well I think so it's worth it
I absolutely loved this movie. The owner of the real hotel and her daughter were actually in it too. The mother was the greeter at the haunt door and also one of the cloaked figures in the attic. Her young daughter was the zombie girl on Paul's floor.
Ya know, there's something very cool in being known as "the found footage guy". Seriously, there's a whole lot of found footage horror movies out there that are worth checking out.
@@therobw Okay, here's a bunch. And there's yet a bunch more to discover. This is the genre that keeps on giving: 'The Taking of Deborah Logan', 'Creep' and 'Creep 2', 'The Visit', 'As Above, So Below', 'Spree', 'Searching', 'Lake Mungo', 'Rec' (the original Spanish version), 'Noroi, The Curse', 'Trollhunter', and 'Grave Encounters'.

"don't peek" 🤣. This film makes me cry with fear , I'm with you. Also, your camera set up is primed for something to peek around your hallway though mate. I can't keep my eyes off it....
@@therobw of course. The hell house franchise as a whole is my favorite thing ever. So many little details tying each movie together, youd have to watch the series as many times as I have to catch everything but its amazing.
This movie got me into horror. I had avoided it for a very long time, but watched it with my friends when they had a movie night and suddenly I was hooked.
Not going to lie, I kind of want to have a drink in that tavern. Love this flick. The sequel's great, too. I'm torn on the third, but hey, it's still a great series. & I don' t know how you can get creeped out by anything with Stella on deck. I can't imagine how many tiny terrors she eliminates on the daily. Love that cat! XD
Hey Rob not sure if you have watched Haunt 2019, but if you love haunted house horror movies that one was very good, not a found footage just a freaky movie, you should check it out if you haven't.
Better than most found footage/shaky cam movies even though i'm not a fan of them. You should try V/H/S/94 when you get the chance because you already did VHS 1 and 2.
This is my favourite horror movie and your are one of the two people I’ve seen react to it. Please do the other two. Not as good as the first but it does explain things. Pay attention to the backgrounds at all times. And you have a cat. Subscribed. 🤣 Also I think Joey killed himself because he couldn’t live with the fact of leaving her to die and for what he saw. He purely reacted on instinct. I can’t fault him for that. Fight or flight reflex. Would love you to react to all the movies in my favourite franchise Halloween. All of them. The bad and good hahahaha
If you ever decide to dive into asian horror, check out shutter 2004 ( barely anyone reacts to that one while its terrifying, couldnt do it the first time, had to shut it off halfway ) and ju-on the grudge.
