Keep in mind Ecuador has 3 regions that are all different vibes: The Coast which is where Sly has been (Esmeraldas and Guayas), the Sierra (mountains) and the Oriente (Amazon). On the coast they definitely like to party and are the more extroverted.

Viva Mi Lindo Ecuador. Thank you for showing my beautiful country. I live in Southern California USA and one day I will visit this side of Ecuador. I have already been to the South Side of my Country places like Montanitas, Salinas, Guayaquil, Santa Ana, Puerto Viejo, Montecristo and Manta. I loved it there. I was visiting family on December 2018 I had a blast!

That's my favorite place. One of those alleys in the evening early afternoon they fry up some delicious fish all poorer black Ecuadorian. In centro go to 5 corners to see the real daily action they have the only KFC chicken at 5 corners they serve rice and lentils if you want French fries it cost more. Enjoy
I saw they had one KFC in the city lol. I was going to visit the area, but never got around to it...maybe next time👍🏿

I've been here a short amount of time, but what I hear from others is that Ecuador, as a whole, is safer than Colombia. I would say so myself.
