    If you personalise the plan it really works. I'm right into it and I love it. Thank you, I loved your video!

    I read the book Sink Reflections about 12yrs ago and turned my home around! Now I've downsized my house by about HALF and need to jump back in. I truly want to lean towards minimalism, and she really helped me on this journey. 💖

      Yes!! Check out the book, Essentialism. I am 1/2 way and find it really inspiring.

    I fell off the Fly lady routines for a while then switched to clean mama. I think I’m a hybrid of the two.

      I am the same exact way! I switch them up all the time. One day I will come up with my own plan.

    Thank you for this! Now that I’m a new mom, the flylady system has never meant more to my sanity than it does now! ♥️
    p.s. I love your framed sketch drawing!

      Thank you! It’s from Home Goods several years back. I was introduced to FL by, How Jenn Does It, years ago when I was a new mom! Congratulations!

      @@StephanieSMGH aw thank you!! Do you still follow clean mama any? I could never get on board with her routines but I love her DIY cleaning recipes.

    • @StephanieSMGH
      @StephanieSMGH  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! I follow both. I switch back and forth...so much depends on mood. FlyLady covers so much more than cleaning, which is why Clean Mama can be a better program for new moms. Just take it easy on yourself. The first six month were the toughest for me.

      @@StephanieSMGH oh completely agree about the first 6 months. He's 10 months now- thankfully!

    Hi Samantha~ I'm a new subscriber to your channel. I followed Fly Lady for many years (had the Control Journal, still use the purple rags and mop) but around 4-5 years ago Marla started getting very emotional, where she was crying and in the beginning of posts she'd put music on for the first couple minutes and would meditate. I was recovering from major knee surgery and had zero patience~
    had to walk away from her videos. So happy I found your channel!!! You're very upbeat and don't irritate me 🤣. In no time my house is back to being pristine, so Thank You!!!!

    Hey Stephanie, if you clean the entire house on Mon what do you do the other days in the afternoon?

    • @thatswhatisaid8908
      @thatswhatisaid8908 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hope you don mind me answering. The Flylady system doesn't advocate cleaning the entire house, just a quick upkeep clean or "blessing". But even if you DID clean it all, the other parts of the system are Plan and Play where you plan out what you're gonna do for the next week, including housework, meal planning and budgeting. Some people like to pay their bills here too. Then on Wednesday, you pick a task you've been procrastinating on and get it done. Thursday is errand day, so you do your grocery shopping plus any other things you need to leave home for. Appointments, library, chemist, whatever. Makes sense to do all your running around on the same day. Friday is Car and Purse day. You get all the junk out of your car, and out of your purse / handbag, at minimum. You can do more if you want, like cleaning the car, etc. It's also "date night", which if you're into such things, you will have organised on Tuesday (plan and play). Then you have the weekend to enjoy your home, family and yourself. (still doing your routines, though.) Also, you add to each day (Tue-Fri) 15 min decluttering or cleaning in one zone in your house. Hope this helps.

    Milk poured in a dirty cup...wasn't this channel for cleaning tips

    • @StephanieSMGH
      @StephanieSMGH  ปีที่แล้ว

      It really is. I filmed this last year, so I don't recall this particular cup of milk. I'm going to assume this was a refill and not a first pour.
