My husbands favorite cocktail. We make it often. He uses it sometimes as cocktail to order in a bar, if it’s a good one, we order other drinks. If not, waters fine! It’s amazing how often we have water. LOL, I bet a Sidecar from you is wonderful. Cheers Livio.

What an awesome retro Vespa! And loved the history lesson on the Sidecar -- they don't teach THIS stuff in schools (even though they totally should!)

LIVIO!!! Awesome class!!! This is one of my all time favorites!!! I love this sipper!!! QUESTION: When making this, can one use 2 different types of Cognac? I have a Cognac that's a little too sweet to put in this cocktail by itself, so I was going to split it with another Cognac. Thanks!!!! CHEERS!!!!

Hey Tim. That is such a great idea. By blending two different cognacs you are also creating a unique flavor that does not exist. If one of your cognacs is too sweet then I would try to blend it with something dry and simple such as Hennessy VS. Have a great weekend!

Sours are definitely not my cup of tea, 30 ml of lemon or lime juice makes any cocktail (3-5 oz, served up) way too tart. Practically the tart juice mutes all the others tastes and flavours for me. So I am only adding 5 to 10 ml of the citrus juice. And I am using European lemons (mostly from Greece), so hearing you talking about the fact they are sweeter than American ones, it was a stunner! Adding a full ounce of their juice and still enjoying the cocktail seems impossible for me, to say the least! Nevertheless, I appreciate the presentation. :)

It’s so true! When I made sours in Italy, I needed so much less lemon or lime, and the fruit was much sweeter, and the drinks are much boozier. Cheers to you!
