  • Primatologist and anthropologist Jane Goodall - perhaps the world's preeminent authority on chimpanzees - takes a rare break from studying the chimpanzees of the Gombe National Park in Tanzania, to have a chat with Terry Wogan at the BBC Television Theatre in Shepherd's Bush.

    I swear, it doesn't matter what the topic, guest, interviewer, or program is, interviews from before the 90s for some reason are always so much better and more insightful than those I see on TV today. I suppose it's because the interviewers and guests appear to care more about discussing actual topics and taking their time about it, rather than trying to perform to an audience.

      Jane Good all one of the Greatest scientists of 20th century, but even things have moved on since then.

    I am constantly distracted by the fact what a breathtakingly beautiful women she was. Secondly, by how little age has diminished her beauty.

    As she stated, she intended to continue studying chimpanzees for another 25 years, in 1986, indeed she did, and just a few years ago a documentary was released about her life's work, simply called 'Jane'...
