Bought your sfx. I have a lot of variety in the ones I use as I grab on a “need” basis using certain programs like splice and epidemic, but definitely needed more repeatable ones that I can just grab for simpler edits or transitions. I don’t like using the camera clicks on every big cut as I personally find it to be over-done after a few times, but I do use em them sparingly. Good work
Super glad to hear that! I think the big benefit of having sfx you use on repeat is that after some time, you get really fast at sound designing because you already know where everything should go!
brother in christ i love you for this piece of information/knowledge whatever. as a budding film maker myself I'd also love some more of your videos on how to make your sound Sound more peaceful to the listener's ears & how to decorate the frame in a way to make the watcher feel pleasant & so much more of your work i wana see ! Lovd this video, definitely gonna help me edit so much better for my films as well as clients ! much love. never stop creating.
Ngl, this video is very informative, fun to watch, visually pleasing (Camera work is top notch) and your tone of voice is perfect. The only thing I don't like in general that I'm seeing way too much of is that all creators are using the same exact sound effects, which can honestly get very boring and even annoying. Especially that insanely over used riser effect just gets on my nerves now. Makes it feel like every creator has the same exact style instead of everyone generating a different one over time. That's my only critique in general to creators not to you specifically. I find most of the sounds you used here are interesting and unique.
That's a really interesting perspective. A lot of people are for sure using similar sound effects, and I do think that if you just throw them in without any thought or purpose, it's going to get super fucking repetitive after like 5 mins. But if you manipulate them and use them sparingly and subtly, you can get pretty good results even with commonly used sfx. Thanks for your comment!
This is an excellent tutorial, you look professional, have an editing skill better than most and tips that actually make sense; dude you're underrated, keep up the good work!😄😁
