I wonder if the Talamasca somehow knew Louis was going to burn down the theater, so they tipped Sam off so he could escape and continue being a source for them. Armand said that they never figured out how he managed to get out before the theater burned. The Talamasca employees people with gifts such as psychic abilities. Perhaps they used them to foresee the fire. Or, maybe they were surveiling the whole thing from a distance.
I will say, that the fandom for this show is pretty non-gross. Maybe that is because all the bad fanbois and girls were weeded out just by the changes being made- the people who refused to watch on general principle because Louis isn't white. That's why the fans are all intelligent and nice, that one change drove all the dumb people away so we can have interesting, substantive, discussions. We don't have the fandom who approaches the material like 'I own it, it's for me, it cannot be open to anyone else'.
I found you a couple of weeks ago and I've loved your reactions and interviews with the cast. Thank you for your work. And Christopher is just such a lovely guy. Great interview, thanks for sharing!
