This is simultaneously one of the funniest and one of the most touching storylines in the show's history. All of Phil's vulnerabilities emerge from his psyche and start to play havoc, but he finds ways to rein them in. And the way Haley confides to the camera, "I have a cool dad," is just the perfect coda.

Claire states that the hardest part to get used to is "the sound", says its safe because "everyone there knows what they are doing", and says that it is a great way to relieve stress. As much as I love the father/daughter dynamic, I found it very strange that Alex would laugh over Haley being a virgin. Like, why would Phil make some joke about his daughter's virginity firstly and it would be totally inappropriate to laugh at that. Also, losing your virginity is really not "growing up". Plenty of people lose their virginity extremely early or late. The ages vary and you could still be very innocent and clueless about sex.

@daddytopps8261 yea it made me kind of grossed out, because of that whole myth about your hymen being broken after sex and bleeding being proof of first time sex. So many women are born without one or break it without any sex. And for many, there is no bleeding. Like it's so harmful to spread that ideology as though girls lose something from having sex.
