No!! Unless you don't do backup first. Other videos show it. This one doesn't. And as people mentioned here already - not doing backup might result loosing Whatsapp data

Only 2 years transferred, 8 years did not transfer. But I still have my master. Whatsapp on my old phone, thank god. I did backup last night on the old phone backing up three gigabytes of data, so I am safe.

Not sure but I believe you do but you should still try it with different. Maybe all you need is the QR Code
