It is a good thing that you implement curved beams , you have also to check the bended plates side , dimensions of parts (Thickness) need to be gated after unfolding the parts otherwise dimension gives the part box cotes which is wrong in such a case and for raw material , this is what I'm waiting to buy this amazing addon, small but full complete...

Is it able also to design the connection or members by adding external forces and check stresses and strains not just drawing the members and connections?

The profiles and connections are never placed by themselves. It is always a user decision. Unless you use the SDNF import: Then the profiles are created and placed automatically. In this case, the type of profile comes from the structural analysis. Here you can find 3 videos about static calculations and SolidSteel parametric for SOLIDWORKS. The price is depending on the amount of functionalities you need. Different packages are available. SolidSteel parametric is starting at appx. 2000 € (or 2350 USD) per network license plus annual maintenance fee.
