Dimash is great, his wide range is impressive and he's talented. Lara is one of the best vocalists/artists ever...the best to me. It's amazing she can still sing like she does in her 50s, she preserved her voice so well. Her technique is incredible and she's always so nuanced and just brilliant in the way she performs. I love that song. The whole Mademoiselle Zhivago album that she wrote with Igor Krutoy is a masterpiece.
Lara is such a legend. One of the biggest francophone artists, one of the best vocalists, multilingual songwriter, composer, musician…smart, beautiful , kind…She’s the whole package.

It amazes me that Dimash sings this song in the same key as Lara and does a really great rendition vocally and his stage presence is compelling. Lara is one of Dimash's idols. Again, the Russian audience demonstrates their rather blasé, conservative, restrained reaction which I believe is more of a cultural thing than their yrue feeling about the performance.
It must be so hard to stifle your emotions and not be more demonstrative in your appreciation of a performance. I don't understand it as an American, but every culture is different. Oh well. Thanks for the reaction to both!

First of all I think this is one of the best compositions and arrangements of Igor Krutoj - if not the best. The harmonic structure leans into romantic composers of late 19. Century with some slight additions of later styles in perfect combination. I prefer Lara in this one for the nuances as you said. She lays wekght in every syllable and the first time hearing I didn't need subtitles. I understood at once though English is my 2nd language. Dimash version has to be apprecisted nevertheless for obvious reasons. Also it makes the work of Igor Krutoj complete.
Dimash is of course much more impressive. I love Lara too. Dimash is a big fan of Lara Fabian. Bravo Dimash. The best singer in the world ever. I can listen to Dimash 100 times more.

First of all I think this is one of the best compositions and arrangements of Igor Krutoj - if not the best. The harmonic structure leans into romantic composers of late 19. Century with some slight additions of later styles in perfect combination.
I prefer Lara in this one for the nuances as you said. She lays wekght in every syllable and the first time hearing I didn't need subtitles. I understood at once though English is my 2nd language.
Dimash version has to be apprecisted nevertheless for obvious reasons. Also it makes the work of Igor Krutoj complete.
