Dom came to my primary school years ago, for no actual reason that I was able to gather, because he was only there for about ten minutes to pick something up, but he was naturally mobbed by kids wanting an autograph- me included. I remember explaining all the Dick and Dom shows to my friend while in line (she knew them all, but I was just very excited at the time) and Dom overheard me talking about the Bogies section of Bungalow, so somewhere in my house is a very old autograph with “Bogies” written on it in his handwriting. Truly a core memory for me.

Class story, I have something similar but involving Woody's actor from This Is England. His childhood best mate was a support teacher at my high school, he ended up telling Joseph Gilgun how much me and my mate loved the film. They met up and he signed a poster for us both and even recorded and little video on a camera and burnt it to CD to watch. He even came into the school some time later. I was in the exclusion unit for bad behaviour, just my luck😅 still fuming to this day.

Dick, Dom and even those behind the set would always be laughing about something or the other and watching the two trying to keep the show on _some sort_ of cohesive track was so, unbelievably funny.
Honestly, it feels like the show was made just for Dick and Dom's amusement and not the contestants. The kids always seemed so confused half the time.

If your brother was born in the late 80’s he would’ve been in his mid-late teens when this was airing?

"you would have to take pictures of all your kid mates, put them on an application form and send it to the BBC"....
BBC Directors looked at these application forms like "What's on the menu?"

It’s actually crazy the impact Dick and Dom in da Bungalow had on so many peoples childhoods. They must’ve been playing reruns or something because I very vividly remember watching it every weekend and talking to mates on the playground, even though in 2006 when it ended I would’ve only been 4 years old.
Edit : I actually think in like Year 4 or 5 (9 years old) so 2011 I wrote to them as some sort of project and got like a signed picture and stuff
