It is pretty amazing! Very powerful and effective. I make myself listen to it several times when I need to step back, calm down and "reset" my mind. It is teaching me to let go of my ideas and my plans about my life and trust God. I was a very controlling person!...smile.
Brought me to tears because it took this song to remember that God knows what I'm going through and ultimately has a plan, even when it makes no sense to me now. Thanks God, for this awesome message! It helps me forgive, let go, and move on.
This song teaches me that I know I'm not perfect, or even close for that matter; nor does God expect me to be perfect, but He expects me to trust His word, in which I do. "Be still and know that I am God." - Psalm 46:10
Honestly we don't Necessarily Need to be "Religious" Per-say, but we Do need to be Spiritual, because God IS Spiritual, and how can you (anyone) expect to truly Comprehend and understand God and His Son if we ONly Specifically Think and Believe with our FLeshly minds?? We will Never actually truly Get God, and that's what He wants. Think about it for a moment and try not to sigh, or think im a bore. LOL Wouldn't YOU like people to Understand you and get you and how you feel and etc, but of their Own Will, without being Fake or phony? Those same wants that We sometimes feel, comes from Him, as, and He wants that too as well. As for the evils in this world, you should hopefuly know that answer to that, (FYI, sATAN,)
Hi Bethany! Here's little words of mine for you. You did not decide to give this song a special place in your heart. It is God who did that. Believe it and He will show you the truth, the life, and the way. Love you in Christ!
You seem to be the only one ^ most other comments just turn us to God, and tell us we need Jesus, which is incredibly frustrating to someone who sees both of those as equivalents of unicorns.
Lia Harlin Same. I'm not a Christian, and I get very annoyed by people telling me that my own beliefs are invalid, and that I need to go read the Bible :P
This song reminds me how much I need to let go into God's hands because He knows the plans He has for me, plans to prosper and not to harm me, but to give me a hope and a future. God bless you (whoever wrote this song/made the movie)!
God allowed Joseph to go through all of this pain. Had Joseph remained a "momma's boy" and only did small tasks his entire life, he never would've worked to prove anything. When he was sold into slavery, he was forced to do things with excellence. Character was built in Joseph and because of this, God exalted him to second in command over all of Egypt. God's love is so rich in mercy! If you don't personally know Jesus and you want to, reply to this and I can lead you in the sinner's prayer. Jesus loves you more than you can imagine.
+Jacob Cook Well it wasnt exacly Josephs fault that he only had to do small tasks jesus christ- God could also have slapped his father right in the fucking face at the start and said something among the lines of "Listen here you little shit, you're spoilling your fucking kid and your other sons don't like that one bit, OK? So unless you want your dear sons to sell him into slavery and therefore cause him pain and suffering, you'd better step up and bring some character into that guy. OH ps I'm gonna give him these powers to predict the future and dreams, yay! so explain that to your sons so they won't get jealous and get Joseph to the pharao as soon as you fucking can. QUICKLY! I'm atheist btw but sometimes I really question the logic theists use, because sometimes it really doesn't make any sense.
God could've used a lot of different ways to get Joseph to Pharaoh. Regardless of the method of His choosing, you'd still be blatantly asking the question, "Why did God do it like this?" So as you can see, there's no point in debating. You've already made up your mind as to which side of the fence you've chosen. To me though, I think God used this method to show that regardless of the crap the devil throws at us, God can turn the situation for our good. Don't even try to bring up the debate about why God allows the devil to do harm/to exist. Like I said, this would be a pointless debate. If you really want to know, Google it.
+Remmy girl I'm glad you asked. "Romans 10:9-10 says:"If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved." When Nicodemus asked Jesus what he had to do to get to Heaven, Jesus told him that he needed to be born again. Being born again means that the sinful person you once were dies (not literally but figuratively), and a perfect child of God is all that remains. You see, when Jesus went to the cross to take our sins, He took every sin we had ever committed and every sin we will ever commit. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says,"He that never sinned (Jesus) was made sin so that we could be made the righteousness of God in Christ." Jesus became what we were so that we could become what He is. After He took our sins and died on the cross, He went to the place any person goes with sin on them: hell. He stayed there for three days. He dumped all of mankind's sins in hell and was resurrected three days later! He's now in Heaven, seated at the right hand of the God the Father. All you have to do to be forgiven is say, "Jesus, I know that I'm a sinner. I have no hope without you. You died so that I could live a life without sin, so I repent from my sin and make you the Lord of my life. In Jesus' name, Amen!" If you say those words and mean them, you'll never be the same. I promise.
How humble Joseph had become in this dungeon! If this is how you can come closer and closer to God, I would be honoured to go through the same (physically or spiritually)!
tommy wilts that would be great but it would probably run less than an hour...which means to make it longer, it'll have to be about David's whole life story and it'll be a lot of content XD My college did a David musical 3 years ago and the show was 3 hours long ! But yes, I would love to see Dreamworks work on a David project :)
When I usually listen to a powerful song it doesnt bring me to tears, but this song, this songnis too powerful to bring me tears, & bring me down to my knees for when I am struggling in life. I love this song with a passion, because god knows better than I myself, & he has a great plan for me. I know my journey to reach my goals are not going to be easy but with him by my side I know he'll be able to comfort me at times when I need it :')
Daphnee Collier you're welcome (: & it is true everytime I listen to this song it brings tears to my eyes even thinking about it too will bring tears to my eyes
manwomanboogie thank you (: I always know he will not leave me. If I need his help, I simply ask a prayer to him. And so, he helped me out because I am now going to school (college) since he helped me pave the way for me to reach my goals (:
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May his face be made to shine on you. Congratulations to you being in College Zachary may your walk in the Lord be filled with many blessings and joy. God loves you so much and will always be there no matter what. Take and have a blessed day in Jesus name. Amen. =D
couple of years ago i moved from ohio to texas and i tried to stay positive but some nights i cried to sleep. now i know why God brought me here. He shoved me out of my comfort zone, I'm my school's mascot and He has sent me friends like angels. this song always reminds me to trust in God, He will provide for me.
Thanks for the support. I try to remember that he's always gonna be there for me, and everything is gonna be okay in the end, but it's just so hard in the waiting :,(
I just realized that when Joseph places the rocks down and the flashbacks after each rock represents him letting go of his past, pain, and 🎵"the need to know why"🎶 and he places down the last rock without a flashback it show that he had put all trust into God.
I remember singing this all the time when I was younger and I would break out into tears because I finally realized what this song meant.. it's about God knowing better than us (even though we don't think so all the time) and that he knows what he's doing even though we may disagree with what his plan his. "For I know the plan I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11
I absolutely love this song. It always makes me cry every time I listen to it. Not just because of all the pain Joseph had gone through at this point, but also because I strongly relate to Joseph's painful experiences in my own life. This song helps me remember to keep viewing my life from God's perspective instead of my own limited one. The words are both convicting and comforting. Whomever wrote this truly did an outstanding job of illustrating the Christian struggle of always trusting God during hard circumstances. I just love how in this scene, Joseph is taking care of that poor little tree that was almost dead at the beginning. To me it represents two things: How God was taking care of Joseph all throughout his hard circumstances, and also how God was using his situation to grow him spiritually and create something new and beautiful out of his life. Just like how the tree grew over time and bloomed into a beautiful new life of its own. I also love how with every stone Joseph sets down around the tree, it shows his bad memories of his painful past. It literally represents how he is letting go of all the bad things that happened to him. Once he sets down each stone, he releases those painful emotional burdens to God; and a huge weight is lifted from his heart. I also believe it means that he is relinquishing his desire to control his situation or get revenge on his brothers, and letting the outcome of justice rest in God's hands. I just think this whole movie is wonderful, but this scene is so beautiful and powerful. Christians need to turn to this scene and this song whenever they need to be reminded to trust in God in spite of difficult circumstances. 💜😇🙏🏻
I'm agnostic, but this song and this film mean a lot to me. They've been part of my childhood and taught me how sometimes it is important to forgive.. It pass through every religion or faith...
I like the kind of atheist who doesn't believe like we religious people do, but does admit the fact that the Bible (true or not) has some valuable lessons.
i have the same thing with the movie The prince of egypt, it is a bible movie. but for me its just a nice movie with freaking murder in it, and it also shows me that god is the biggest serial killer ever. by giving people cancer or aids or any other decease. :D
***** Well he did murder bunch of innocent people, it's impossible that everyone in Egypt who wasn't a slave was evil, and I also don't believe that bad people actually deserve death or some sort of a terrible disease. Supposedly the god teaches us not to kill, but then he goes ahead and slaughters hundreds of thousands. I'm not willing to offend anyone's personal beliefs, but the god from Bible is certainly not a role model for me and shouldn't be for any modern citizen of the world.
Pretty amazing how that branch turns into a flowering tree! 🤩It is beautiful along with this song! Joseph trying to have a positive attitude during all of this is something we need now in this world. No anger, hate just positive, happy feelings all over! 🤗💗
This is a great inspirational song for anyone that has just lost someone and is having a hard time understanding why. This song helps begin the healing process. Let go...he knows why better than you. Put your faith in him and you will find your answer. Hes seldom early, never late, but always on time. This is an amazing song. thanks for uploading it
I hope it's not out of place to say, but you don't have to be religious to like this song. I think it's a beautiful piece and I'm an agnostic. It's just a wonderful example of the power of music/what it can evoke/how faith can be expressed through music. Especially the entire last verse. It's so majestic and when it de-escalates to "I'll take what answers you supply", with the piano coming in just after the beat...perfection.
I swear, this song is the embodiment of hope, because it doesn't matter whether or not you're Christian; you hear that hope. And more than that, even; you feel it throughout your whole self, and it's beautiful.
At 17, I've found this song a wonderful encouragement. Dealing with difficult family issues and a sickness that doesn't seem to have a cure, this song is perfect for me. I don't have answers, but I don't need to. God's got it figured out.
My dad introduced me to this movie as a young boy. Being raised roman catholic, it was probably an important film to watch. My father passed away last year. Now when I hear it I am awestruck with faith, nostalgia, and love. My dad had such a big heart. RIP Thomas.
4 years ago I was in college. Dealing with mental battles - anxiety, depression, obsessive thoughts, isolation, you name it. In order to combat this I numbed the pain with alcohol. That was my lowest low. I remember clicking on this song and listening to this song for hours one late night and sobbing uncontrollably. I come back 4 years later. Saved. At true peace. Full of joy, and blessed. I never comment, so I don't know what compelled me to write this, but listening to this song again brought me back to that place 4 years ago. And I look back grateful of all the challenges and pain I went through, because it has molded me into the man I am today. I say this to anyone who is going through a similar tough time. Like Joseph, God has a plan for you. This is temporary. He is only forging you into the man you are meant to be. Joseph found faith and peace when he was at his lowest in jail. I also found God when I was at my lowest. He works in mysterious ways and is amazing.
I don't think it's all about religion, I think faith is the most important thing to make your dreams come true. Faith in god and in yourself. I'm not really the religious type but this song gives you a positive kind of patience, confidence and a bright outlook to face life. I love this song so much because it makes me stronger! Thank you Dreamworks and thank you uploader :')
DREAMWORKS! PLEASE PRODUCE AND CREATE MORE MOVIES LIKE THESE! I miss them very much. :( Joseph King of Dreams, and The Prince of Egypt! The best movies of my childhood. For it is YOU LORD who knows BEST. Who Is better than I. *2014*
The Lord has more knowledge than anyone else. He gave us our knowledge. Bless this song for opening my eyes to this. Just put your trust in Him and He will guide you down the right path. Always remember that our Lord God loves you and I. He does know better than us!
Whenever I have a bad day, i rely on this song to guide me. I love how it is about accepting God and even forgiving him when things go wrong because it is part of his plan for you. It is powerful seeing how each memory goes with each stone he places by the tree. It is a way of keeping this weight of his shoulders. Also the last scene which was originally Joseph declaring himself as a miracle child is retranslated into him following God and telling him, I accept your plan for me. Again, powerful!
Saw this movie twelve years later and yet this song still makes me cry... Prince of Egypt may have been more powerful with a lot of things but one thing it lacked that Joseph: King of Dreams had and that was emotion. This movie still makes me cry to this day.
I thank Elohim, God of all for all hes given me. All the struggles I went through have taught me so mcuh and continue to teach me eveeyday. Tonight, I was Valedictorian and gave a speech and though It had a rough beginning, I ended it with a succes. I love this song because it givea hope qhwen you might think hope is lost. Never stop trying because once you do, THATS when you lose!
I am two weeks from my high school graduation and am struggleing with trusting God. His plan seem clouded and distant. This song reminds me all I need to do is trust God and belive He has the best plan for my life. I don't need to worry because He knows better than I. Thank you, Father, for leading me to this vidio today and for reminding me I need to trust in you. You will lead and guide me. I don't need to be afraid.
i used to watch this movie on VHS when i was a kid then i chose to listen to this song again in high school when it became more relevant i swear i cried
Wonderful song. It speaks of complete surrender to the will of God in your life. It is easy to praise The Lord during the good times in our lives; but what about in the bad times, when we feel alone or when we can't see HIS purpose? In those times a life that is surrendered to HIM says "you know better than I, you know the way........" What a great song!!
Thank you for this wonderful song. As we speak, my wife & I are embarking to a whole new environment, yet I trust the Almighty that he will guide us accordingly. Thank you.
Whatever life holds in store for me, I'll always see that the best thing I can do is put my trust in Him. I'll never forget these words: "With great power comes great responsibility."
After losing my husband, my home, and almost my life, I felt as if karma had paid me a visit. Listening to this made me see the good in the bad and encouraged me to be a better person and mommy.
I always love to think when he says "You know Better than I, Will you teach me" I feel he is speaking about God, and when God himself will physically come down in the form of the son, and teach. Ah how the Old Testament sets everything up for Christ's coming its so beautiful how it all fits together.
I saw a cloud and thought it was the sky. I saw a bird and thought that I could follow. But it was you who taught that bird to fly. If I let you reach me, will you teach me?
I cried when I saw this video. God know better than I. I will trust on Him. Sometimes my heart gets weak . Dreams are shattered and broken heart. But God is my refuge
I'm not even Christian and this song almost brings tears to my eyes when I sing it. For me, it's not really about the lyrics as it is the music itself. It's just astounding.
This was one of my favourite films when I was a kid, and we owned a copy on vhs along with 'Prince of Egypt." I've since moved away from the religious beliefs behind it all, but hearing this song again after so many years gives me serious chills, making me feel so nostalgic. Regardless of your beliefs, this a great song, great story, and a fantastic film.
SuperSupermanX1999 The Lord or God is not what most of religion describes him to be. Many have been turned off by the failure of "religion" to show the true love and power of God. Many churches sadly are dead today but those that have come out of dead churches are experiencing the power of God in their lives! Yes, God is holy, and yes he hates sin (selfishness, bitterness, lust, etc) but not because he is some dysfunctional father figure like is often seen in society today. God is love and he knows that sin destroys not only us individually but society as a whole. He gives us a free will because he does love us and wants us to love Him not for what he can do for us but for who he is. We were not created to be selfish, arrogant, prideful, etc. Jesus Christ came to redeem mankind from sin so we can be brought back to our intended purpose. We should be upset with religion for making it about man instead of making it about God. With time winding down, it's important to seek after Jesus while we still can! He can not only forgive us for all sin but transform us if we are willing to follow him. God bless you!!
***** Thanks for the sentiment, but I just don't see any reason to believe any of it. If God exists then he'll know exactly what it will take to convince me. I don't really want to get into a big discussion, however. I still think that this is a great film though. Thanks for your comment, mate.
This song is beautiful. I get caught up trying to figure out why God would do this or that. I have to learn to trust in him and that "he knows better than I"
Joseph is a good example of how with how belief and faith in yourself and most importantly in God works wonders. God will lead you to the right way, just put your trust and everything into him and he will supply. I will always and forever love you Lord.
I haven't heard this song (or seen this movie since I was little) but hearing this again sort of filled me up, and brought tears to my eyes..... just to know how good God is, even though I've stumbled so much. I have so much to be thankful for and I hope everyone discovers the love and joy and peace that God can give, 'cause it takes my breath away sometimes.
Anyway, in the end I got my answers from God. The only reason he didn't answer right away was because I was not ready to hear it. The answer was that I truly was not meant to marry my ex. Doing so would have led to events even worse. He was not husband material due to his enormous ego, which he chose over me. Even if he didn't break up with me, he would have eventually divorced me because of his unwillingness to humble himself and listen. God blessed me by saving me from a ruinous relationship, and through that horrid trial, I have become a much stronger woman. My heart was weak, my mind was naive, now I will be able to survive trial with greater strength, and have gained more wisdom in dealings with relationships. The point is, God has his timing, it's not that we are supposed to blindly trust him, he simply asks that we trust him when we shouldn't be trusting ourselves in our times of confusion and pain. Most of all, he gives us what we need, not what we want.
I love your testimony. I'm in a situation of almost the dance same thing, except with a woman, of course. But it was the result of me losing sight of God and being influenced by others outside of the relationship. I thought God was leading me toward another young lady so I decided to tell me girlfriend at the time what I was feeling. I asked her for a chance to see if the girl was the one I was supposed to be with. But immediately I knew that it was a horrible idea and that it was nothing but a trick of the devil. My girlfriend was very hurt by this and it caused us to drift apart. And now we are not together. I've been trying my best to try and get her to see that I was sorry for my mistake but, unfortunately, there has been no avail. Thankfully, I was led to use this opportunity to become closer to God. And I know that whatever waits on the other side of my ex's final decision, God will be with me there.
+Donavan Boykin I'm sorry that happened to you. I know what it feels like to be rejected forgiveness and understanding for terrible mistakes in choices. Though you may have lost her now, you have gained wisdom. I don't know if this will apply to you, but this is the hardest lesson God has taught me so far in life: Sometimes, the answers to some of our biggest questions will never be answered in our lifetime. When that happens, it is in our best interest to accept this and let it go. I never got the answer why my ex really broke up with me, at least not from his own lips. He was a very intelligent and manipulative man, you see. But after so long, I have learned that question was never important. What is important is I am still here, you are still here, and life's road still goes on. I hope you find a lovely woman someday, someone who can forgive you, understand, and guide you when you go astray. Good luck.
Angelica Antezana Thank you so much! And may God Bless You! If you have not found a wise man who's after God's own heart by now, I hope you will meet one who will do just that and cherish you deeply. Someone that will assure you when you are unsure. Nice speaking with you. Be blessed.
men with big ego can have the narcissist syndrome, that kind of people that only feels well when someone else does not feel well... and that kind of relationship can be destructive or even toxic. I had many questions about men through my life but I think I already received the answers about relationships, as you can see in your cae and the case a guy shared here, it is free will, God cannot force someone to love someone else or to come back, and that is what we always ask lol, I did too, because we are in love-blind and we want it like this. If the relationship does not flow, it does not, better let it go. Real love is like fire, isnt it? Song of Songs says. I see the couples that remain married for years and I think it is because it was real love, some people might marry for the wrong reason, because society pushes us to do so, etc. If a man leaves because of his ego or his cowardly, he has a problem... needs help from God and...it is something solely between him and God (no, we cant fix, it is something between them).
I consider myself a true Christian and I have been taught a "true" Christian is one who loves and forgives all not just the ones that are like me and also to tell you the truth I've met people who were believers without even knowing it they say "yes, yes I know all about your jesus" well..thats all you need to do is know him but I thank you as a man, as a Christian, and as a servant of God may he bless you forevermore
Thank you and God bless. Thank you for including me in your prayers. We live in a twisted world, a world that is plagued. But we will prevail, because the Lord God is with us always. God bless you and may your life also go through well, and your character shine bright.
I didn't understand -why- he would break up with me when I was trying so hard and eagerly to be the perfect loving loyal girlfriend (and would-be wife) to him. Now, I am very stubborn when it comes to asking for help, only asking when I feel I truly can't do it myself. This, sadly, is most true between me and God. I prayed to him, asking him for comfort, and to give me answers how to fix my relationship with my ex so we could be happy again and be married. But God would not give me the answers I wanted, he simply told me through my heart that I needed to be patient, and the answers would become clear. I was frustrated, I wanted answers right away. I went to do something drastic and try to walk miles to my ex's house in the middle of a very hot summer. I was under so much trauma and stress, my nose bled. As if God was watching me, a car got in front of me and it was the missionaries. They knew me from church and asked if I needed help. (Continued)
This is one of the most amazing songs about God ever written.
It is pretty amazing! Very powerful and effective. I make myself listen to it several times when I need to step back, calm down and "reset" my mind. It is teaching me to let go of my ideas and my plans about my life and trust God. I was a very controlling person!...smile.

This actually gave me faith in god
when in doubt with God, let this song course through your veins basically
AMEN 😢😭🙏
Same here man. Stay Strong :)

Darkman9478 Amen!!!!❤️
I would say that some are realists to say that perfection is impossible. I mean, why do you think that confessions cubicles exists?
My childhood. 😢
Brings back memories of VHS tapes and rewinding it for like 10 minutes. 😁
I remember that so well, my grandparents constantly reminded me that when I was watching the VHS tapes, I had to rewind them afterwards.
Same here..Mine were early floppy disks though
KonbanwaJapan show a kid that nowadays and they look at you like your old! Haha.
Hannah Cruz no have a vcr and I'm 13 I grew up with vhs and dvds
@@hannahcruz1440 no i see a think that i would love

+Zethany That's The Power Of GOD He LOVES YOU Regardless Of What You BELIEVE"
Hi Bethany! Here's little words of mine for you. You did not decide to give this song a special place in your heart. It is God who did that. Believe it and He will show you the truth, the life, and the way. Love you in Christ!
Man this song is so true to the Lord and all His wisdom. Thank you Jesus!
A lot of times we have to put our faith and trust in God's timing; even though we may be struggling.
Well put! In such a stalker and looked at your page and subscribed because I'm LDS too (:
I get so happy when I see people commenting how their faith helps them through tough times :3
I get even happier when the story touches even the non-religious.
This is probably the most powerful scene in the movie.
Agreed
YES
Micah Greaney you telling yet
Micah Greaney oh I saw the movie before and it pretty good
Micah Greaney
This song reminds me how much I need to let go into God's hands because He knows the plans He has for me, plans to prosper and not to harm me, but to give me a hope and a future. God bless you (whoever wrote this song/made the movie)!
Amen!

Well said and very true
+Jacob Cook What is the sinner's prayer?
I promise.
Thank you Lord for such a beautiful song! Always reminds me of Gods amazing grace and love that He has for us! God is good all the time!!
How humble Joseph had become in this dungeon! If this is how you can come closer and closer to God, I would be honoured to go through the same (physically or spiritually)!
Becareful wut u wish for lol!! But I will let u kno...in the end it is worth it!!!^^
Joseph Butso
IKR? :D
I wish Dreamworks could more movies like these
I know, only This and Prince of Egypt
+Rebecca Chia a cool one would be david and goliath
tommy wilts that would be great but it would probably run less than an hour...which means to make it longer, it'll have to be about David's whole life story and it'll be a lot of content XD
My college did a David musical 3 years ago and the show was 3 hours long !
But yes, I would love to see Dreamworks work on a David project :)
+Kaagh178 I know right!!
+Rebecca Chia
this is favorite is song from this movie.
This is so true❤️❤️ I get so angry when God doesn't do things my way. It's embarrassing - the audacity we allow ourselves to have with our Creator.
I love comments like yours! Thanks (:
Daphnee Collier you're welcome (: & it is true everytime I listen to this song it brings tears to my eyes even thinking about it too will bring tears to my eyes
Amen!!! God Bless You and Favor You Zachary, Stay Strong always knowing that He will never leave you or forsake You. Your in my prayers...
manwomanboogie thank you (: I always know he will not leave me.
Gives me goosebumps every time I listen
This song really hits home right now :,( but it gives me strength, and reminds me that God is in control, and everything is going to be ok.
Thanks for the support. I try to remember that he's always gonna be there for me, and everything is gonna be okay in the end, but it's just so hard in the waiting :,(
You're encouragement really means a lot to me. Thank you.
This is by far the best song in the movie (in my opinion)! Every time I listen to it, I just have to sing along. It makes my heart soar!
So you do believe in a KIND OF higher power?
No, none, sorry... I usually respect people who believe it as far as they respect my ideas, but, no, I think there is not some kind of higher power...
Oh. I'm sorry, I was under the impression that agnostics believed that there is a possibility of a kind of higher power. If I was wrong I'm very sorry
Sorry, I chose the wrong word, maybe I'm more atheist than agnostic..
I like the kind of atheist who doesn't believe like we religious people do, but does admit the fact that the Bible (true or not) has some valuable lessons.
I cry every single time i listen to this. Praise be to God!
although i'm not religious i actually really like the stories of joseph and moses and david and goliath and all the biblical stories.
thats cool!
i have the same thing with the movie The prince of egypt, it is a bible movie. but for me its just a nice movie with freaking murder in it, and it also shows me that god is the biggest serial killer ever. by giving people cancer or aids or any other decease. :D
osmatoma123 So you are saying that God is evil? Just trying to clarify.
I agree in the bible it says you will go through rough times.
Wonderful song. "I've let go the need to know why........" Total surrender to God's will is something most of us find very hard to do.
this song made me cry right at this moment .. oh how much God loves us... ❤whoever reads this God loves YOU!
Pretty amazing how that branch turns into a flowering tree! 🤩It is beautiful along with this song! Joseph trying to have a positive attitude during all of this is something we need now in this world. No anger, hate just positive, happy feelings all over! 🤗💗
I feel closer to God every time I hear this beautiful song about faith in a loving God XX
Thank you my Lord. This was exactly what I needed. Thank you for knowing better than I.
This song is so beautiful and powerful. This and The Prince of Egypt are sooo underrated.
This is the realist 😭😭😭 Thank you JESUS for having a plan for me
too bad this movie has nothing to do with that fake god.jesus is fake and always will be.
AmenIt is true He has a plan God bless you.
+EgoMaster shut up
Conrad "Eltapo" McRunner thanks tyler1
there is no proof anyways rip albeit
This is a great inspirational song for anyone that has just lost someone and is having a hard time understanding why. This song helps begin the healing process. Let go...he knows why better than you. Put your faith in him and you will find your answer. Hes seldom early, never late, but always on time. This is an amazing song. thanks for uploading it
If I were in America's got talent, I would sing that song.
Aaaw thank you James.😀
Well, someone once sang When You Believe from the Prince of Egypt on XFactor, so why not?
and i bet you would win
Deja Martin Thanks Deja Martin.😊
@Sara M YES SO TRUE. I LOVE THAT MUSICAL
Together with The Lion King, Tarzan and Brother Bear this movie is an all-time classic. This scene in particular brings tears to my eyes everytime!
That robe has more swag than any clothesline idea people could dream up today.
+L Kururugi (The Apex Truthseeker 荣誉) Could *DREAM* up today? I see what you did there :D
***** You're sharper than me mac, because i didn't even catch that until you pointed it out xD LOL
Now, That's what i call teamwork.
The dopest answer ever
Teamwork makes the dreamwork.
Love this song!!! It reminds me to leave my future in Gods hands and to trust Him no matter what I go through.
I swear, this song is the embodiment of hope, because it doesn't matter whether or not you're Christian; you hear that hope. And more than that, even; you feel it throughout your whole self, and it's beautiful.
God, Ill put more trust in you. I do not know why you are doing this to me but because you know the way, you know better than I, please lead me Lord.
Such a beautiful song about giving your faith, trust, and life to God. Wonderful message and a wonderful movie
So beautiful.. I can really feel the spirit of god into this song. Dear Lord Jesus thank you!!!!
RIP Thomas.
This song has helped me through so much. I once hated my life. God has a plan for all of us. Thank you HASHEM❤️
This was a big part of my childhood and means more and more to me every year...
Im not religious person...but i really do love Joseph and Moses. Its amazing. They should really make more of these types of movies.
I saw this movie recently, and as an adult, I cried. Love this movie and the songs. God knows better than us, and knows what's best. God Bless.
Gosh, this is such an amazing song! Why is this movie so under-appreciated! I memorized every word of this movie! I love it so much!
Joseph King of Dreams, and The Prince of Egypt! The best movies of my childhood.
For it is YOU LORD who knows BEST. Who Is better than I.
*2014*
UPDATE! *2015* :3
They lost the courage to make more movies like these a long time ago.
But why? :(
The sad truth. 😢😢😧
2017 AND STILL WAITING.
DAMN IT.
It's songs like this that make me think it doesn't matter that I'm Jewish, Christian, Muslim, ect it's about coming together and finding faith in God.
:'( literally I'm in tears now... You know better than I **sigh**
I don't need to be afraid.
i used to watch this movie on VHS when i was a kid
then i chose to listen to this song again in high school when it became more relevant
i swear i cried
Sameee!!
SAME
same here even now.
its one of those songs that stands the testament of time... still holding true to the end.... it always captures my heart....T^T the feels man
+animangafan342 same
I really love this song...
every time I hear, this song makes me humble.
Last night I was crying really hard to this song it's so inspirational.
God Bless You hun and your babies
Thank you:)
You're welcome.
Kalia Fox Your karma has ripened and shall bring you some good fruit to taste instead of the bad :) hope you are doing well.
I am very grateful for your kind words.
Faith has brought me here
I always love to think when he says "You know Better than I, Will you teach me" I feel he is speaking about God, and when God himself will physically come down in the form of the son, and teach. Ah how the Old Testament sets everything up for Christ's coming its so beautiful how it all fits together.
Because he bought our lives with blood of Yeshua, we must live for him for he is our master. Amen.
I saw a cloud and thought it was the sky.
I saw a bird and thought that I could follow.
But it was you who taught that bird to fly.
If I let you reach me, will you teach me?
If God doesn't give the one you want he gives you the BEST. :-D
jake howle Amen!
jake howle And sometimes a 'no' now can mean a greater 'YES' in the future! He knows better than we do!
Yuni Aguirre My fav part in the song.
Mocha Caramel
I know right? :D I love that part too!
I swear I needed to hear this today.
Ethan Mills me too
I cried like 5 times when I watched this on Netflix.
me too
I cried when I saw this video. God know better than I. I will trust on Him. Sometimes my heart gets weak . Dreams are shattered and broken heart. But God is my refuge
im not a christian but this song makes me cry all the time.
no matter what im going through god is always on my side
These films had so much meaning to them ~ shame they didn't make any more
Legit crying ;_; this was my childhood
very beautiful song!!! and very beautiful voice!!!!!!!
I absolutely love this song, it really does put my life in perspective.
Jesus is calling someone.....:-)
Trust in YAHWEH and he will never leave you!
This song is beautiful. I get caught up trying to figure out why God would do this or that. I have to learn to trust in him and that "he knows better than I"
oh Lord you know better than I. Just to put my trust in you..
Joseph is a good example of how with how belief and faith in yourself and most importantly in God works wonders. God will lead you to the right way, just put your trust and everything into him and he will supply. I will always and forever love you Lord.
While a sequel could never have been made as well as the Prince of Egypt, this song is still one of the sequel's strongest points.
Kiana Metz Yeah, I know what this movie is and what it's about. It's not a direct sequel, per se, but spiritually it is.
FlutterBOSS Agreed, although it would be a prequel, not a sequel.
jjeshjod Technically, it'd be a sequel since KoD was made after PoE, even though it takes place chronologically a long time before that. I dunno.
FlutterBOSS That's the definition of a prequel. A film released after the first one but taking place chronologically before it
Noah Jay Bah, words.
And I'm not kidding I really was crying.
Just put your trust in God he knows better than all of us
This scene always makes me cry. It really shows how our greatest challenges turn us into better people.
In tears.
+Donavan Boykin
I'm sorry that happened to you. I know what it feels like to be rejected forgiveness and understanding for terrible mistakes in choices.
Though you may have lost her now, you have gained wisdom.
I don't know if this will apply to you, but this is the hardest lesson God has taught me so far in life:
Sometimes, the answers to some of our biggest questions will never be answered in our lifetime.
Be blessed.
I am sorry to hear that. I am sure that you'll find someone who appreciates you.
men with big ego can have the narcissist syndrome, that kind of people that only feels well when someone else does not feel well... and that kind of relationship can be destructive or even toxic.
Just the prettiest song, they should have more songs like this, these days
If only time machines were real...
(Continued)
Its going to be ok....maby your ment to be happy with someone else. And who ever that person might be they will be so so lucky to have you
This is an incredibly underrated song!
Movie*
Dalton Brown that too!
most powerful song ever written
Joseph found that everywhere he went or was taken, God was with him. Praise the Lord.
