Man, this is the best guide I've seen about sanctum 2.0, no bait titles, no useless information. Thank you! edit: one thing to add though, you can use any totems (without cooldowns) linked with multiple totems to block those pesky fireballs. You block one lane then block the very next. One totem will stay in the first lane blocking fireball and so on. My runs became much more easy because of this.
Thanks for the detailed guide! I have thousands of hours in PoE but missed Sanctum league completely (playing Lost Ark at the time) so this is helpful to understand what it's all about.
If you have trouble with the last phase of the final boss. you can just go directly to the reward room ;). You wont get the final relic drop, but if you are worried about losing your saved divines, this might be an option.
Can confirm that Sanctum is the best. Today i've dropped The Gilded Chalice (4 rewards are dublicated but you cannot recover resolve). With that relic i got 8 divines dropped at the end. Thats crazy! I run 4 relics with +1 to merchant choises. Sometimes get All seeing eye which reveals all the map.
sitting in hideout is the best way to make money in game period. But if you want to play the game you will earn less. lol. I once made 50 divines in a single day flipping and crafting. But you just dont get to play the game
@@rajbharathece you just have to enjoy that game mechanics, like a lot of the game different strats make less or more at different times of a league. What is great is that you get to choose what is fun for you, do your thing efficiently and you can get enough to do all content.
@@rajbharatheceyea I always spend most of my time in my hideout after finishing the campaign crafting or flipping. That’s how I make most of my money early league
all of these bosses only do their various moves once you start doing damage to them, it looks like. Lorewise, you could say they don't even need to get out their big guns until you hurt em some
@@lievenpoki too many lmao but i was just watching some shows on my second monitor whilst running them so it didn't feel too bad. i also got pretty lucky and got like 5 of the "2 additional rooms are revealed" relics which were around 14 divs each when i sold them
@lievenpoki I don't know how many. but on first week it took me 4 days, from wednesday to sunday (was sick on saturday and didn't play at all) tp farm mageblood. thought I partially cheated price with buying mirror shards.
I dont do much sanctum because for the most part, it takes a long time and is difficult before you get a good reward. But I never tried doing it at lower ilvl, will try to. Love your videos keep up the good works :)
Well it something that gets more profitable the more you run it and get better at it... gotta look at it like an investment if you didn't play the league and learn it will then
Well i think you should take minor boons when u see then and the more the boons u have there better chance u have to get better one later. 1-2 floor should be mostly for coins and skip end picking. So in 3-4 floor if u get divs or something u have chance to dublicate them. And yes room that can but you in different rooms are shiit but if u are 3-4 floor then finish it if u are mlvl 81 + then last boss can drop 1 hit run relic 40+ div?
the reduce light is nothing ill take it any day, if you run sanctum 1st time its kinda bad i guess but i few run and get familiar with the layout its nothing. about the fireball im blocking it with ice wall or totems
with a lot of room reveal relics id say 60-65% of the time. Withouut them id say a solid 40-50%, and many of those result in 2-4 divines. You do get unlucky with divine rewards sometimes but at least you are still making currency without them
Gain inspiration when you gain an affliction or gain resolve after boss are both good. the 1 additional room revealed and 1 additional merchant choice are also good.
The problem I have with sanctum farming is that you miss out on so much other potential loot from other content like running juiced maps. You just find currency, thats it. Also, I grow bored of it very quickly due to the same reason.
I agree. It does lose out on the chance on various large drops and that stinks. This was more just about how good it is for consistent currency, especially once you work your way up to 80+ tomes. As im typing this sextants are 45 for a divine, thats crazy.
thats a great question. I would guess it could, but considering how extremely rare they are even in sanctum I wouldnt let that influence your decision either way haha
I'd imagine it does, but the chances are so astronomically low, you might as well just run 83's. I've run at least 500+ sanctums between Sanctum league and Ancestor (with 14 rooms revealed for both leagues), before I finally got a mirror as a reward from it 2 week ago. Would love to see if anyone else has an estimate on the number of runs they did to have one appear.
sanctum is the best way to farm currency obviously. It just gets boring after a week. Also sometimes you have to play a specific build geared to running sanctums. Better to run after you already have 50 divines to buy relics. Dont buy the relics suggested in this video revealing rooms are the best relics to find divines consistently. I have run 200 sanctums and I never hit a single sanctum brick because I got a bad affliction. You can path perfectly avoiding everything as long as you know the rooms. You can lose a few chaos along the way. Also if you cannot complete atleast 3 sanctums an hour it is worse than mapping. You get maybe 6-7 divs per hour when you can complete 3 every hour. But if you do less don't bother running sanctums and don't run sanctums below ilvl 83. Also this guy has mageblood unless you can show a run at ilvl 83 without mageblood and not losing over 20% of your resolve, most of this is meaningless regarding melee being good. Builds that are good after 1 mirror investment is worthless for many casual players. just recommend players to play something simple like totems or minions that can damage while we dodge.or even trappers.
I am saying you could get it faster by playing a build specific towards sanctum. Sanctum can be 6-7 div per hr or 3-4 div per hr based on speed and ilvl. Same is true for relics dont recommend those relics they are used by builds that are bad at sanctum. However nowadays I think mapping is just as profitable as sanctum I am making 6-7 div per hr mapping so just enjoy playing what we like I guess@@safeontalk
Yeah I keep finding videos that mislead me into spending what little currency I have farmed because they misinform in some way. Leaving out important details that a noob wouldn't know or just bad information.
I loathe Sanctum so much, tried it after watching this video and got 1 shot by something that killed me instantly and I had full resolve, will never try it again lol
Resolve does nothing for the tankyness of your build and if you die in sanctum the run is over. I guess what killed you was the physical blade guy he warned about that jumped on you from pretty far away. Just build some defense (and maybe lower the tier of tome you run) to make sure you can't get oneshot. Also take care to not take the affliction that increases enemy damage. Do not throw away a whole mechanic just because you lost once. It gets a lot easier with a bit of experience.
Do me a favour. Try a blight-ravaged map with 3x gold, 3x silver and 3x opalescent oil anoint. I promise you I’m making over 20 Div/hour farming these.
you see it is true that sanctum is good currency alright no doubt about it but you need to have good builds for good clear speed no you cant spend 20mins per sanctum thats just too unefficient and yes the higher the level of tomes the higher the chances of getting higher level currency now the only reason you shouldnt do your high level tomes is if your build cant handle it and even if it can handle it it needs to run it sub 20min otherwise your better of doing legion expedition and lastly there are mob power spikes so a level 80 tome vs a level 79 is and insane amount of difference so dont buy higher than level 79 till your build can clear them sub 20min and lastly there are reward spikes too if you compare a level 78 to 79 there is no difference in rewards or 77 and 76 but there is a big difference between 76 and 75 so make sure to push your build as much as you could and try to do your runs no hit and slowly learn how to do no hits so you could drop all your resolve/inspiration relices and replace them with 2 additional rooms relics and btw never go for inspiration relices since your resolve is a resource and the more of it you have the better so go with gain resolve when you kill a boss relics have 4 of the wide ones and they could have 50 per so not only they add 200 resolve each time you kill a boss they heal your resolve for 200 too theyer pretty cheap too like 50c each
It's funny how people keep wanking sanctum as best profit. From personal experience with completing like 50 sanctums on like end of week 1 to week 2 of league (leveled from 93 to 99). Sanctum is rather low div/hour even with full pack of +2 room revealed relics if you're running remotely normal build that will do 2-3 runs per hour. Because that's what sanctum gives on average, 2-3divs per run, and it's rather common to get raw divs every other one or every third one. And like 4-5 divs per hour is nothing fantastic when you invest 100+ divs into top relics. Anything like good atlas strats / logbooks is way better returns on time spent. It was probably basically equal to just running league mechanic, which did not require any relics for same div/hour. It's all about speed, and for sanctum go good-great you must run 4-5 sanctums per hour(on top of full pack of max reveal relics) - you need mageblood+perma-berserk zhp build basically. Conundrum is you'd guess you want to run sanctums to get mageblood early... Well nope, it's just waste of time without one. Yes, if you go all in with mageblood and perma-berserk it can obiously be very good farm. Even if you'd get only like 10-12 div/hour there's basically 0 trading in liquidating that currency which is quite a big prop on scales of extreme boredom of sanctum and would probably put it on par with best MF high investment strats when you subtract waste of time on liquidating things. But at that level of invetment/commitment there're many other things you can do for similar/better ROI.
The biggest point, which you mentioned, is the "no liquidation" aspect. For the average /above average casual, that means A TON I'm not trying to sit around selling incubators and legion sets all fuckin day - not at this point in the league
im mind blown you got that many chaos. mine have been terrible rewards but i did get 1 divine on my 4 tombs so far... Edit: also i got the all seeing eye on my first tomb and didnt understand why i couldnt see maps in the following tombs

People tell me that my 15k evasion and 15k armor isn't enough and I need at least 50k each. Well how tf am I supposed to do that when I bought the highest str/dex gear I could find.
It is not that hard, for starters you can run determination and high armour base armour. But at the end of the day this game does require some time investment to learn.
If you're new to the game take your time with it and watch guides, its a very overwhelming game but that being said its so rewarding when it does click. As for the defensive stats its best to focus on being resistance capped first, on my righteous fire build i have 31k armor and 683 evasion, i only die if i do something wrong. If you do actually hate the game then don't play it, your time is better spend doing or playing something else
The game is mostly about preparation so you can run smoothly. Preparing gear for white to yellow to red maps etc. So its the same for the game itself. Prepare yourself with some newbie guide and then run the game.
yeah 15k is great, then you just run the auras and flasks to buff the defensive stats you feel you are lacking. it's why you'll play soft core so you can experiment and find the right defensive numbers and layers for your play style
